I have a query.
But first I want to say how thrilled I am that one artist is doing all the FOTJ covers, I think that is the best bet.
On to the qestion:
Is there any chance that older books (aka classics) such as the Thrawn Trilogy could get reprinted with different covers? I just bought my fourth copy of Heir to the Empire (I like to lend it to people and 50% of the time they don't give it back) and I really noticed how awful the cover art looks compared to some of the newer books. Is there some sort of contractual limitation that would prevent this or is it just not fiscally reasonable? Also I'd love to see the NJO reprinted with the Japanese covers or just some sort of common artist or style, but I know that's probable never going to happen.
Thanks

Nice info Sue.

With it coming out in April is this not a little late for you to be finaly getting the manuscript and a cover?

Back on page 503, you state that idealy, it would be a year before, with all the new stuff coming out it seems that is not the case, what would you say the average is now, 4-6 months?

Blood Oath ---

Well, I don't have much to add. I don't have the manuscript yet, although I think it's due next week. I'm excited to read it....

We received the "final" cover art yesterday, but one of the other characters on the cover had to have her blaster changed -- it looked too earth-bound, so we're having it changed to a more Star Wars hold-out blaster style. Dave Seeley is painting the cover, and it looks awesome -- At first glance it looks a bit like a romance novel cover, but don't let that put you off. The cover features Zekk up front, with two women in the background... Hapan women... women you may remember from a previous LotF novel... oh, I just spilled my coffee -- hang on a moment...

If you can, could you please give us something on Blood Oath to discuss... there's so little to go by that people have resorted to the lowest form of EU speculation. (I dare not name it, lest I invoke discussion of it here.)

Yes agreed, but what is the lowest form of speculation

Hi Sue. I just fished Order 66 and it was awesome. The most emotional Star Wars book I have read. Is Imperial Commando going to be following the same commandos as in the Republic Commando? Thanks, Brad.

DarthHarvick, you'd have to do that offsite. (This really isn't the place - VIPs ignore fanfic.) The most popular places are probably and fanfiction.net.

The place to address it here is the Fan Fiction thread in Fan Activities, but you shouldn't post fic on these boards - it's against the TOS.

I was wondering how I would go about posting fanfic online? If this question is in the wrong place, I do apologize. I am new here and I am just learning the ropes here.

Just wondering if my deleted post will be re-instated
now that Fists of Ion has been published
online?

It was removed because it has nothing to do with the VIP's in this thread. You would be better off contacting Pablo through other channels.

As for Clone Wars, Rew, that contract is only for 5. So we're getting at least two more that don't have titles yet.

Probably unanswerable at this time, Rew.

Most of these series have no end dates. As long as sales are good and the people love them, they'll continue forward. If the 2010 Republic Commando sells a massive amount of books, they'd likely look towards continuing it (within contract reasoning and author availability of course).

On the other hand, if sales are poor...Well, you know what happens then. :)
