Thank you Sue for updating/publishing a new release schedule.
One quick question based on it: I noticed that you've added K. Miller's final TCW novel (#4) with a penned release in June 2010, three months after #3 in March 20010. Given that these are nearly a year after Traviss' No Prisoners (#2) in May 2009, are Miller's books tie-ins to the second or even third series of TCW TV series?

Thanks a lot Nathan, I guess I'll be getting a couple of treats earlier than expected then. I did notice the "ships in 24 hours thing", but I assumed that was the mistake, not the release date.

Thanks for the updates Sue - they're really appreciated.
Unfortunate about Blood Oath being delayed, though, but at least I'll still be able to get it Christmas of next year. So.... since that has been delayed are the chances of seeing the cover before 2008 ends much slimmer?

Blood Oath... delayed. That's a shame as I was really
looking forward to this Zekk story. Oh well,
something for christmas next year....
in best Vader voice
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo...!!
Man, I was looking forward to that one. Oh, well. FotJ will keep me occupied.
Speaking of which, does all this mean Zekk has a minimal role in FotJ, if he even has one at all?

OK, so I just went to barnes and nobles and pre-ordered Rebel Force 1 and 2. But my question now is, How do some of you seem to know what's going on in it already?
They came out earlier this month. You'll find that if you just used Barnes and Noble's website, they still list January 1, 2009, as a release date (for some odd reason), but they say "usually ships within 24 hours." That's not a pre-order. It's an actual order with a screwed up release date given.

Hey Sue, do you think will see the cover for OUTCAST this year or do we have to wait until 2009?
You'll have to wait. We reviewed an almost final this week, but sent it back for a few tweaks.

If you're going to stop by at all Sue, please please please tell me that Blood Oath has disappeared from the catalog by mistake.
Hi -- I did stop by. I also posted a new blog entry, updated and cleaned-up from the last one. The biggest thing you'll notice is that BLOOD OATH has been moved to December 2009. The manuscript hasn't been delivered yet -- it just got to be too late to make the deadline, so we moved it. I feel badly because the story, as you know, takes place before OUTCAST so we wanted it to come out as close to OUTCAST as possible... but it didn't happen.

*OK, I read the last of the jedi series, what is this HOSTAGE book you guys are referring to. I wasn't aware Ferus' story was continued anywhere. *
New series called Rebel Force.

Well, it was the reappearance of a character Watson had dealt with much better in LOTJ that I was referring to. I don't mind that Leia still has some growing to do.

+Mira wrote: If that was Jude Watson, I'm disappointed, because much as I'm loving the series, Hostage ruined the beautiful bittersweet ending of Last of the Jedi. No spoilers, but you know what I'm talking about. +
I agree with this. Leia was a miserable punk in it. It really left a BAD taste in my mouth, and Ferus' "love" of Leia was out of place for the way she treated him. There was no reason for him to feel that way. It's like he came out of his shell and then turned back into a loser again. I was bummed by it. Not only the ending, but Ferus' whole development.
And I thought Leia was a nice person, but I guess she was just another Imperial with an agenda. That how she comes across. She wasn't likable at ALL.

"Thanks for making the distinction between believing something is "canon" and something is worthwhile. There's no yardstick for art or "literature", and most "literary" critics sneer down their noses at franchise fiction."
It doesn't have to be that way, though.
If any brand on the face of God's green Earth lends itself to real literature, SW does.

the Del Rey/Random House catalog. The book has been unlisted, which is usually a sign of a delay to beyond the cutoff date of the catalog (in today's case, September) or... I won't say the other thing. Because I don't want it to be the other thing.
