Well, the Kirrek attack hasn't started as of the beginning of FOTSE, so it can't be between either.

Question:
On his website, John Jackson Miller refers to "Precipice" being set during "The Golden Age of the Sith," but the Sith have not invaded the Republic by the end of that story. Jori is still on her way.
So . . . is it actually set during "The Fall of the Sith Empire," as seems more likely?

the website is now also saying its unavailbe
Well, no, the website said it was unavailable to order NEW. It hasn't come out yet, so it would be unavailable to order. Still though, not a good sign.
I hope they at least replace it with something good.

That quote is the NJOE source I was referring to, as it tells us little we don't already know from the public distribution channels. I'd still rather wait on word from someone a good bit higher up in the Del Rey or LFL food chain.
The Livejournal deletion is an interesting development. First she wiped all her entries, and now it's gone? Odd.

+You'd have to get past the top 10 characters or so to really start seeing any meaningful number of aliens (e.g., Watto or Gunray, Jabba or Ackbar).
With the novel DPs being fairly short, and the storylines focused on the Skywalker/Solo clan, it's not particularly surprising that we're seeing mostly humans.+
Oh, I understand that. I'm saying that it's...unfortunate. Especially compared to the casts of Legacy and KOTOR.

*I'll wait for official word.
Yeah, from the look of things the NJOE source was just someone (web admin? secretary?) with access to the database... Which might very well be the same database that feeds the online catalog. Or IS the online catalog.*
Wasn't him this time. (And it's Longtime Reporter/Mod/Website Insider with access to the database bookstores order from, thankyouverymuch!)
One of our forumers contacted someone at Random House, who said, specifically: "Star Wars: Blood Oath by Elaine Cunningham is showing as a canceled title in our system. There are no notes to say that this will be published anytime in the future."

I guess will just have to wait until Sue comes back from vacation to tell us if its been cancelled or not. And just because Elaine Cunningham deleted her blog doesnt mean that the books been cancelled. Look at Sue and her most recent blog- she hasn't made any changes on it since December (no offense Sue).

Yep me too- I've wanted to read this too much to accept defeat!*
Same here. (I join the chorus in stating that I really, really hope it's not cancelled-- or at least not cancelled for good! )

If it is cancelled, I'm sure there's a good explanation, as I believe Cunningham had already turned in the MS and they'd already created a cover for it. Either BO no longer coincides with the rest of the FOTJ series as seamlessly as they'd planned - which means things within the actual series are probably being switched up, too - or it's something internal, within LFL/DR.
Either way, an official announcement would be good. Also -- it seems Elaine Cunningham has completely deleted her blog. Not a good sign...
