Your welcome.
BTW, how did you find those on-line? I've hunted through all my local used bookstores, and am still trying to find them, some issues of the Adventure Journal, and some old RP books.

Sorry, got totals mixed up.
I got all 15 of the Ep. I set because after they canceled Missions, I asked them all to be sent at once (you don't know how I got hasstled for that)
I got the first 8 of 20 of the missions ones, and therefore missed 12, not 7 because of the discontinuation.
I also missed all of the Ep. II ones because I was out of the loop that they were made by that time.
So, I really hope they do a collection of them sometime.

Oh my... I didn't know that... I've got 20 Missions books, gathered from eBay a few years back... Managed to get a substantial size of these from an Australian seller. Did the US only go up to # 15 or so? And was the rest continued in Australia?
Sorry, I realize this is not a VIP question, but I was quite astonished to learn about this...
edit: or do you mean the Episode I Adventures set, of which there were only 15?

I had the series on order, and they shipped a book/set once a month. I got up to number 8, and then got a letter saying that they had discontinued the series and wouldn't be sending any more.
I missed out on the last 7 and I think a lot of others did as well, which is part of the reason they are so hard to find.

What do you mean with that they stopped printing halfway?

Second to that. I missed out on most of the missions ones when they stopped printing half-way through the series.

Is there any possibility that those Scholastic Book Club-only +Adventures +and +Missions +books will ever be collected and reprinted for the mass market? Those are extremely hard to find now, and (needless to say) ridiculously overpriced. It would be nice to have those more readily available for the new generation of readers (and old, broke collectors like me).

I'm going to second that request. Also, I know that there are no current plans for more Clone Wars novels, but I know that Matt Stover has also said that he would be interested in doing an Obi-Wan adventure as well. I would like to see more CW novels, and would definitely like to see Matt Stover get his wish. He's more than earned his chancellorship in the SWEU.

Sue This is a diehard question. Is there a chance that Matt Stover will get to write the last adventure of the Big Three(Luke,Han and Leia) somewhere down the road say after FOTJ ends in 2011 or will it happen in 2013?
Also will there be a sequel to Luke Skywalker and the Shadows of Mindor since_ I DON'T KNOW HOW TO USE SPOILER TAGS!!!!!!_

I first read Truce at Bakura when I was 9 (possibly 10) and have read all the EU since then. I started the NJO when I was 11, and that was probably the most death-laden series at that point, but I handeled it perfectly well.

I don't think age is that big a factor in relation to horror.
It could be if they have parents who buys the books for them. Anyway... this was originally a muse that I thought Sue might comment on, but since she hasn't, it would probably be best if we drop it.

I've been reading them since I was about 13 too. Besides, I don't think age is that big a factor in relation to horror. There are plenty of 13 year olds who would watch horror films I wouldn't touch at 23.

*> Hey, I'm 15 and I've been reading Star Wars books
since I was 13. They aren't too complicated for my
taste and I just LOVED Vergere's and Jacen's
philosophical discussions about the force in Traitor.*
Well then, you are quite ahead of your time, my friend.

these novels are quite complex. I can't picture
anyone younger than fifteen or so actually reading
them and understanding them.
Yeah, but there's all the futuristic technology, flight/combat maneuvers, politics... It'd still >have to be a smart kid.
Besides, if Traitor's violence level didn't scare them away, I'd say they're in for keeps.

Now we know that Anakin was knighted only four weeks after the Battle of Geonosis, so there isn't even room for the Battle of Jabiim (referenced in KT's TCW novelization). So we will just have to live with the fact that there are quite a few stories +about +the Clone Wars, but many if not most of them may be apocryphal. (Note that Stover has now introduced in LSATSOM the notion that many in-universe stories exist about the heroes of SW, so it's not necessarily as bad as it sounds.) It's not ideal, but I have done what I can with my own timeline to sort them out by story (ignoring all the dates, both old and new, is the only way they can all coexist). I don't know if this will be my final solution, as I am more and more inclined to keep them where they were originally, and simply consider them separate realities. For the moment, though, Del Rey's approach makes about as much sense as any.

- Well, we know that with the new Clone Wars series,
that they do have to be re-dated anyway. In fact the
timeline acknowledges this change because instead of
listing the books by years they lump them together in
a 3 year block (which I must say I disapprove of) and
so they could easily have dated them according to
events rather than inaccurate dates.
*
Well, the trouble is that there is no longer room for the stories to occur prior to Anakin's knighthood, so you almost have to look at these as separate continuities. Even the first iteration of the Clone Wars stories was not without issues, with the constant references to events that hadn't happened yet, etc. I was the one who suggested lumping them into a vague three-year period, at least until the series was done and some resorting could be managed. Prior to Wild Space, we assumed that all of the prior material had more or less been lumped into the first year of the war.

They are SW novels, not college-level Algebra books.
There must be a younger audience out there that reads
these books.
