Who comes up with the names of the characters that appear in the books/comics/games etc., I would think that all the minor characters are the creations of the authors but what about the main characters children, and other main characters that well be appearing in later works?
If they are all from the author do they have certain guide lines, and what are those guide lines.

Sue, are there any chances that this Untitled Game Novel is somehow connected with just annonced The Old Republic? Or there is another game in development and now it's secret ;)?

*Yeah... my local bookstores still don't have MF listed in their release schedule for the next 2 months :/
May i ask what the hell is going on with the UK's distribution of MF? Or am i going to have to try and import it?*
I emailed Century and they confirmed it is not on their schedules. My theory is that they had a contract to reprint X number of books, and the addition of an extra hardback means Millennium Falcon has fallen off the end. Just a theory mind.

I would hope to see the big 3 take part in the Ackbar vs.Paelleon war in a future novel if it's written. Also I hope there will be more big 3 novels outside FOTJ set between NJO-DN-LOTF or more set in the classic trilogy era or early NR era. I'm glad were getting LSATSOM. But I hope there will be more big three novels set in the early New Republic era or Classic era.

Would LFL ever consider publishing novels to fill the gaps between NJO, DN and LOTF (not necessarily in this contract, but as a future possibility)? And how about expanding on the NR-IMP war when Ackbar clashed with Pellaeon between 14-20 ABY? - we see lots of the Big 3, but not the main war.
Would like to know and have those times filled in aswell.

Apologies Broox, generally I follow the rules, but it just seemed topical I guess.
I have a question for Sue as well:

General Notice: Discussion of Karen Traviss' views
do
not belong in this thread and will continue to be
removed. Repeat offenders may receive a ban of
some
sort.
Broox, would it be alright with you if we opened up
another thread to discuss it? Many of us have strong
feelings about her comments about us that we feel
should be addressed.
We already have a Karen Traviss thread feel free to use that. If you look far enough back into the thread you will see that Mrs. Traviss used to post here on a regular basis. She left mainly due to the fact that posters couldn't have a civilized discussion. Furthermore whenever the issue comes up, it happens in cycles, at least one person usually end up banned. Please do not take that as a threat but merely a s a warning that when we have tried to go down this road before it has always ended badly.
In the future when you have this type of request please bring it to FF s to not clutter up this thread.

Hi Sue,
I was just wondering if there is a top ten list of Star Wars 'adult' novels published - outside of the main Episode I - VI books. Not really interested in volumes, but just curious which ones top the list.
Do you have a list of top ten that are your favorites? Was watching Letterman last night and it got me thinking about top ten lists...
I searched the postings here, but didn't really find anything along this line - at least recently.
Hope this is allowed...
Many thanks!!

BTW, Sue - read any good manuscripts lately?
Yes, actually!
I just finished LUKE SKYWALKER AND THE SHADOWS OF MINDOR and all I can say is "WOW." Not at all what I expected from that one or two line description in the ESSENTIAL CHRONOLOGY. Great story, good twists, super Luke.
Wow, Sue! What a super-teaser - I've scheduled the day off for December 30th so I can run out and grab this to read as soon as it's released!
THANK YOU!!! o(*_*)o

I can't believe you're already getting the Outcast manuscript, Sue!
Is this normal or is Allston usually that quick in turning it in? Do you usually get a manuscript 3-4 months before the release date?

Hey Sue,
I saw the audio version of M. Falcon today and was pleasantly surprised to see 10 hours, 8 discs, unabridged and all that... Haven't bought it yet but I was wondering if the FOTJ series get the same treatment?

Hey sue,
I was curious if there were any plans to to have the OT novels to be rewritten(or at least edited) to help fit better with the PT novels?

Sorry if that seems really nitpicky, but I guess my real questions are...
1) When writing MF, was Luceno under the impression that Invincible took place in 40 ABY?
2) Do you know at what point in LOTF we reach 41 ABY?
Thanks! You are teh roxxor.

Hi Sue!
I finished Millennium Falcon last night, and thought it was a good fun adventure romp. If you're interested in getting a general feeling of how fans are reacting to it, I posted a super-long review on pages 8 and 9 of the spoiler thread...
But my reading of it comes with a question!
Millennium Falcon spoiler... beware, everyone...
Lando identifies Lando Jr. as being three years old. Is this incorrect? With Legacy of the Force stretching into 41 ABY, and Tendra still being pregnant as of Fury, are we to just ignore the given age of three as a mistake? I'm guessing that Luceno thought that LOTF was entirely contained in 40 ABY when writing Millennium Falcon, in which case, it'll be the same as the mistake in Zekk's age that we saw in Betrayal --- something to be treated as a mistake, and not something to lose sleep over!
End spoiler.

Are there any more books in this series in the future, as it has a '1' on the spine, kinda indicating that we will also have a 2, 3, 4, 5, etcetera?!?
Yes, there will, but I don't know how many nor when they'll be released... they're not in my bag of goodies.
