Nex:
Why is Kamino placed inside the Galaxy proper when it's actual position is on the outskirts of the satellite galaxy the Rishi Maze?
Also, it seems the are now two locations for Rishi on the recent Fact Files map; one at the original location, the other off the far end of the Corellian Run. Tasty mentioned this was an error, but I don't recall whether he mentioned which one was an error; it could be that the new Rishi location is meant to be a revision. It's a lot easier to imagine this new location to be part of an interpenetrating satellite galaxy than the old one.

Nex:

I believe it's because there was some confusion as to the nature of the Rishi Maze when the maps that place it were made.
I think it probably should be interpreted to mean that the Rishi Maze is above the galactic plane. Thus, on a top-down view, it would appear to be part of the galaxy proper.
Alternatively, it's possible that the Maze, though a "satellite," may actually be interpenetrating in places with the SW Galaxy. A small enough elliptical or irregular galaxy being warped by the larger mass of the spiral might appear to the untrained eye to be an irregularity in the spiral itself.

Absolutely. Unfortunately, it seems more and more people know of his work through StuporShadow's blatant plagiarism than through Carty's own site. And StuporShadow has been asked many times, both by Carty and by myself, to take it down or at least give credit where credit is due, to no avail.
So I ask that everyone here who posts elsewhere, be it tf.n, the Galactic Senate, or anywhere else, or who emails with other SW fans, to make an effort to publicise Carty's site and correct anyone who points to StuporShadow. Carty's work is too good to have it be undercut by this EXPLETIVE DELETED jerk.

Ok, when a ship enters hyperspace and comes near a planet, the gravity mass of the planet pulls them out of Hyperspace, (or so I have beleived) Yet it's so dangerous to randomly enter hyperspace due to crashing into a planet or ship right? So how is it that a fleet can use a planets mass shadow to pull them from hyperspace right on top of say a local fleet, yet it seems at the same time they should crash into the planet right? What am I missing about this? or what am I just plain getting wrong in my interpretation?
The EU has been fairly inconsistent in this regard. I think the safest thing to say is that hyperdrive cutouts are somewhat unpredictable. Most of the time, they'll pull you out with some wear and tear on the drive, but not enough to seriously impede it's operation. Sometimes, though, things go worse - much worse - often enough to make using a gravity well to stop you a risk not to be taken lightly.

Indeed. It's obvious how much time he has spent on the map and he deserves more recognition. I'll have to compare that to the map in Starwars Galaxies - JTL sometime (account expired).

Actually, he STOLE that map from a long-time member of this forum, and a long-time poster in this thread.
You can find all his work here:
http://www.nav-computer.com/
I'm deleting that SS link, he's a joke, and a thief, and a liar. No links to his work are allowed here.

And add to this, Sasee Tinn (sp) and his ability to jump into hyperspace and come out on the other side of the planet.
I'm missing something here, or completly lost...

Ok here is a question I have for the freqent posters to this thread, perhaps you can enlighten me;
Ok, when a ship enters hyperspace and comes near a planet, the gravity mass of the planet pulls them out of Hyperspace, (or so I have beleived) Yet it's so dangerous to randomly enter hyperspace due to crashing into a planet or ship right? So how is it that a fleet can use a planets mass shadow to pull them from hyperspace right on top of say a local fleet, yet it seems at the same time they should crash into the planet right? What am I missing about this? or what am I just plain getting wrong in my interpretation?
Any help would be appreciated, thanks

The only other thing I can think of you doing is trying to find just the map on eBay; I wouldn't get my hopes up, though. Getting the back issue is probably your best bet.
Now if I could just get my hands on a copy of that Fact Files map . . .

Where are the 'new' Episode III planets located...
Cato Neimoidia was placed close to Neimoidia in the Fact Files Clone Wars map, but locations have not been published for any of the others. I won't say where we've placed them internally other than that they are pretty much all in the Outer Rim.

Leeland, not sure if this has already been asked before...
Where are the 'new' Episode III planets located in the Star Wars Galaxy? Ie: Saleucami, Felucia, Pollis Massa, etc...
