so he's saying there are three star wars worlds: his world, the licensing world, and our(the fans') world. this is very interesting. i prefer this over the film continuity and/or film+eu continuity(which i think ulic_g99 prefers). besides, canon and continuity i'm sure is different to each and every fan. there are changes to it over time, and it's been that way since 1977.
Yes, there are three worlds. Lucasfilm can only (and should only) keep track of the first two.
And no, "canon" by definition isn't different to each and every fan, since canon is defined as the authoritative body of works of a given topic. While we sometimes talk of one's "personal canon" when referring to an individual's own version of the world, strictly speaking, that term is an oxymoron.

Well, if this is a Wookieepedia matter, they have a clear policy of adhering to Holocron continuity, rather than Georgie's pillars, so that quote is unlikely to help you.

here's lucas' statement on fan material in an interview:
"...there's three worlds: There's my world that I made up, there's the licensing world that's the books, the comics, all that kind of stuff, the games, which is their world, and then there's the fans' world, which is also very rich in imagination, but they don't always mesh. All I'm in charge of is my world. I can't be in charge of those other people's world, because I can't keep up with it."
so he's saying there are three star wars worlds: his world, the licensing world, and our(the fans') world. this is very interesting. i prefer this over the film continuity and/or film+eu continuity(which i think ulic_g99 prefers). besides, canon and continuity i'm sure is different to each and every fan. there are changes to it over time, and it's been that way since 1977. do u agree with my opinions, tasty?
so take that, jsarek! let's see u 'umm, no' lucas' statement, mr sarcastic

Mr. Chee,
1st; Now that the name Rehtul Minnau has become canon via "What's The Story?", can you confirm if the cameo-character of Nathan Hamill is canon as well? It was obviously intended as a reference to him.
2nd; Studying the RotS Wookiee Warriors, I came across a mistake in "Dressing a Galaxy".
In the index in the back of the book they've named Salporin as King Grakchawwaa, whilst naming an unknown Wookiee (wearing "tails in his beard" with leather bands around them) as Salporin.
Can we assume they mixed up and that the unknown is in fact King Grakchawwaa?
According to my research the Wookiees in this photo are named;
(top, left to right) "Unknown 1" (King?), Tarfful, Merumeru, Eugroothwa.
(bottom, left to right) "Unknown 2", Lachichuk, Guanta.
Not in this picture are Chewbacca and Salporin.
Are these the correct names? Anyting on the identities of the "Unknowns"?

A question about Warok. Is Warok and the father of Teebo and of Paploo (CCG)? So normally they're halfbrothers ...

A much more brief question: Are the stories found in Classic Star Wars: Devilworlds still considered N-Canon, as the preface to the series suggests, or have they been worked in as S- or C-Canon in the years since publication?

So, we have now seen a second trailer for the Clone Wars film coming in August. We have also seen changes to the databank that seem to directly contradict the events of Jedi Trial and other events as they pertain to when Anakin is knighted.
In the trailer, though, we have Anakin with his scar, said to have been received in Dreadnaughts of Rendili, 30 months after Geonosis, just before Jedi Trial.
Is it possible that at least part of this series, the stuff we keep thinking might be so contradictory to previous C-Canon, might actually be taking place in that later period, when the scar, Anakin's knighthood, and all of that would not clash with previously established C-Canon? In other words, is it possible that fans are freaking out over continuity issues that might not even exist and it will be other tales, not what we're seeing in the trailers with scarred-and-medium-hair Anakin , that is set earlier in the timeline, giving meaning to the idea that the series will span the length of the entire Clone Wars?
Or, barring that, are there already "retcons" in the works to make this all fit as soon as it is released, or is that something we'll be waiting for after release, as such information just isn't available, even behind the scenes, just yet?

Another question for Mr. Chee. Is what took place in the HK Manufacturing Plant canon? I ask this because it was mentioned in the New Essential Guide to Droids, but it said HK-47 led HK-50s instead of HK-51s.

Mr. Chee, what exactly is the Star Destroyer Harrow, as seen in the comic +X-wing Rogue Squadron: Battleground: Tatooine+? It appears to be, at least to me, an extensively-modified +Victory+-class Star Destroyer, but with all the differences (two main thrusters instead of three, two secondary thrusters instead of four, the lack of a forward docking bay, etc.) is it considered its own class? If so, what's the official class name?

Another question, this time regarding R2-Q2. The CCG and the Visual Guide place this Droid in the Tantive IV as being an Imperial Droid from the Devastator. But the Hasbro Astromech Pack says this Droid flew with Biggs in the Battle of Yavin and might be a double-agent. Are both R2-Q2's one and the same Droid?

I was wondering if there are more facts known about the Mavvan Conflict mentioned by Terrinald Screed in 'The Frozen Citadel'.
- On whose side did the Kobok fight? The Empire or their adversaries?
- Since this Conflict was fought before 15 BBY who exactly was the Empire fighting?
- When exactly did the Conflict take place?
- What was the exact purpose of the Conflict?
Thanks !

Windham's Rise and Fall of Darth Vader has a OOU statement that before grabbing Palp, Vader was Vader no longer, he was Anakin Skywalker. Though the book is supposed to be from his eyes, so whether that is a strictly OOU statement, or just an OOU representation of Vader's thoughts, will have to be up to you to decide.
That is what's there, at least.

I'm afraid I don't understand what you mean. If anything, that would support my argument further: It shows him as he was pre-Vader, which was Anakin.

hero_of_the_empire, while I'd like to agree with you, the changing of Anakin's Ghost from Sebastian Shaw to Hayden Christensen might put some holes in your argument.
Or, to frame that in the form of a question--Mr. Chee, does Hayden Christensen as Anakin's ghost, instead of Sebastian Shaw, have any impact on continuity?

Suppose a video game comes out and it has a multiple endings (Dark Side and Light Side). Also if nothing is released that points to any ending being canon, which ending do we assume is canon?

Not in the movie. But the 1983 novelization says on page 176: "With that, he closed his eyes, and Darth Vader - Anakin Skywalker - died." But the guy pretty much disregarded that, since it still says "Darth Vader" in it.

As you might know, Luke calls him father the whole time. But I'm pretty sure that he isn't called Anakin by any protagonist from the moment of the redemption until his death.

Well, I apologize to Tasty then, but my opponent (not sure if that's a good thing to call him; we're collaborating on Wookieepedia's Daala article) brought up a good point: Is Anakin specifically called by his pre-Vader name after being redeemed but before dying? I've always assumed that, but I don't know if it's been recorded in any sources.
