I like my idea more. Never liked those books anyways and in my mind the fourth will just be a waste of paper. Especially so many years after the first three came out and those three books had errors here there and everywhere. Scrap the whole story.

There's an easy fix here. Simply change the character in the book. Jedi Twilight has errors regarding Piell anyway. Just change it to another Jedi. Unless you are a die hard Piell fan (really?), this shouldn't be a big deal.

I have a suggestion.... just scrap the all three Coruscant Knight books and cancel the fourth.

Hello Mr. Chee,
I had a question for you regarding Empire Day. Is this holiday celebrated by the Imperial Remnant and the Fel and Krayt Empires? Or even perhaps the Empire of the Hand and other mini-empires?

Many thanks!

Dear Leland,

Could you please let us know where the Ewok Nho'Apakk can be seen in 'Return of the Jedi'? Is he the Ewok who keeps pounding on the foot of the AT-ST Walker, as suggested by a colleague on Wookieepedia? He does look him, but of course we don't know that for sure.

Thanks ! :)

Surely if Luke can survive a plummet down a reactor shaft, Darth Maul could by some means. If Vader could survive being burned to a crisp and having 3 limbs lopped off, surely the medic droids could attach an artificial kidney colon and some legs to Maul. Human's on Earth have figured out how to keep a person alive as long as their lungs/heart/brain still work, obviously we're talking about a far more advanced civilization.

Re: Old Wounds
I'm back a year and change later after you guys shot me down last time. I'm assuming the Clone Wars show will eventually be intertwined and worked into the canon, as such, I well and truly hope that the animators decide to stick some mechanical limbs on him whenever Savage Opress finds him at some point in a future episode.

Even if not, I still may not give it up because Luke's prosthetic hand looked perfectly lifelike on the medship. ;) Darth Maul lives!

spoiler: he used force push against opposite sides of the shaft to stop his descent and suspend/wedge himself mid-air until his rescue.

I'm not convinced about the atmosphere. It seems to me that the Secura's ship is not in atmosphere, but just above. Close enough to make trouble, but not in.

I have a question: How was Aayla's ship able to make hyperspace from within the atmosphere in Jedi Crash. And what does this jump mean to stuff that has been established in the existing EU, like gravity wells? I'm sure someone has asked this earlier but it would have taken ages to read all the 200+ pages in search of an answe so I thought I'd just ask it again.

I said this on the Timeline Gold thread, and will repeat it here.

It's entirely possible that the technology for carbon-freezing in Shipyards of Doom to be retconned into being a slightly different technology. Perhaps something more akin to the cryogenic freeze they put on pre-Republic colony ships, and much less related to what's used in The Citadel and The Empire Strikes Back.

Any number of simple retcons like that could be adopted, without dropping Shipyards of Doom.

Mr Chee, there's a question about Even Piell's name pronunciation.
According to The New Essential Guide to Characters, it's "EE-ven Pee-el" yet in the Citadel episode it can be heared as "Eh-ven". Which one is correct? Does TCW's pronunciation override the TNEGC's one or it was just a narrator's version?

I like watching Clone Wars episodes, but with each episode I'm getting more and more frustrated. Why? Because there is always the same template - Republic wins and Confederacy loses. And we all know that militarily CIS was very close to win the Clone Wars in the end. Its army and navy outnumbered Republic forces very much. Its economical stability due to the connection to the largest and the most powerful megacorporations and organizations was very secured in comparison to nearly bankrupt Republic. The leader of the CIS forces, General Grevious was a military genius and the main architect of Separatists victories. And in Clone Wars he is almost always defeated and escape the battlefield. Most planets are lost to CIS in the tv-series. The Citadel is the most secured prison in the galaxy? You must be kidding. A permission to landing without manual checking of a ship cargo. WHAT???

Mr. Chee. I know you are not writing this tv show, but when can we expect some victories for CIS at all? Some episodes where Republic takes heavy losses. A finale where Jedi are not ALWAYS the winning side. Did anybody whisper a word of this idea to Dave Filoni? I know we can't change TV-series for take sake of continuity, but please for the sake of logic and war realism.

True. It just feels different when it is a story point of some kind, rather than a name or design and such. Names and designs are almost interchangeable. One could have named the sinkhole planet in ROTS "Utapau" or "Bob" or "Delta," and it wouldn't really have made much of a difference, but changing out the carbonite sequence in "The Citadel" would be a story altering change, y'know?

If you think about, this has happened with names and concept art countless times.

That's actually mentioned on the episode guide page. I find it interesting that an idea first considered for the show was dropped, then developed in comic form, then picked up again for the show. It's a little frustrating continuity-wise, but it definitely makes one hopeful that any other good ideas that may have emerged before it was feasible for the show might appear in TCW later down the line.

If you hadn't noticed, the writer of Shipyards of Doom was Henry Gilroy who has been highly involved with the series.
