lukevanhorn> Yeah, I would very much like to know what is the current canon status of The Clone Wars: Shipyards of Doom, too.

Leland, can you illuminate us on this matter? :-)

In the episode guide of 'The Citadel' there is a Droid mentioned called OOM-10. It's handy to name this Droid, but it would even be more handy if we could learn who OOM-10 actually is :)

Is he the leader of the captured B1 Battle Droids?

"Shipyards of Doom" was just steamrolled by tonight's TCW episode. Will the story be somehow salvaged through a retcon, or is the whole thing N-canon now?

I have a question i have been wondering for a while and ive already done research so im not sure theres an answer. How do so many on the Sepretist council members when captured later show up free. Such as: Poggle the lesser, San Hill, Wat tambor who I think was captured about 3 times this really doesnt make any senseso im wondering if it can be or will be cleared up.

Also I was wondering what specifically is done with political prisoners that dont escape custody, what does the Republic do with its P.O.Ws does the Republic give death penaltys or do they simply spend prison sentences. If u could answer any of this it would be much apreciated.

The pirate angle was part of Maris's early backstory but it was eventually dropped. The changes were described in this article by Haden Blackman:

I avoid needlessly creating names for the unnamed characters because I never know when an author is going to want to name them later on down the line.

Are Adrienne Wilkinson's comments about Maris Brood's backstory here correct? I don't recall seeing the pirate info anywhere before.

Mason is right on point with this one. Leland doesn't just make up a bunch of stuff as he goes along. It comes down to whether a source has discussed something and given it a name or not.

Now, sometimes, though, you do run into scripts that name a character when it doesn't appear in the actual comic, such as with "Krono Relt" in "What Sin Loyalty" and "Tarneel" in "Equals and Opposites." The TCW episode guides are full of instances like that, pointing out the names of oddball characters.

If it isn't named, though, don't expect a random name to be generated.

Because what more there are characters named, is better. And there are those cool. I hope that Mr.Chee will make an exception and named at least one on my list ....

If they weren't named in the source, then it's a good bet that they haven't been named in the Holocron either. Leland doesn't make up any of the fiction (except maybe the occasional retcon). He keeps track of what's already written.

If you were an author (especially a comic author) would you name every single background character?

I forgot the third thing...

What is known about, or can be known about the Prophets of the Dark Side during the time of the Clone Wars? It seems Dooku has multiple Dark Acolytes, and later in the Empire, Palpatine has his dark siders train there. Is there any connection? Does Dooku have people training there? Do they challenge or work with Palpatine during the Clone Wars?

It seems to be a fairly large part of the Empire that is curiously absent from the "prequel" era.

Mr. Chee,

I have two lines of thought.

Is all thats being revealed in the Star Wars Universe already written within the Holocron? Or are writers coming up with new ideas in Clone Wars, such as the Savage Opress/Maul/Nightsisters story? Did someone come to the fore and say, "Let's play with Darth Maul's lore?" Or has this been in the works for years, from the moment he died?

Secondly, I am confused as to the nature of the Sorcerers of Tund. They seem to be listed as Sith species, or descended from the Sith. Yet, to my knowledge, as of the Clone Wars era, the Sith Species are extinct, yet the Sorcerers of Tund are still present. What race/species are the Sorcerers of Tund, and if they are Sith, or some derivative, how do they manage to not be "extinct" like the other Sith species?

Thank you!

Yes, the Rattatak native species is still pale and bald. Perhaps Asajj shaved her head and adorned herself with Rattatak-style tattoos to better fit in growing up an orphan on that world.

Great, thank you for the information.

He probably can't answer that, since it's something that the show brought up that hasn't been resolved by the show so far.

The Clone Wars timeline is still in flux, as the television series is still being developed season-by-season. The early knighting of Anakin was a new element introduced with the series, which is but one of many continuity concerns and ramifications from the series that will be dealt with eventually.

So, the short answer is that there is no answer . . . yet. The two dates are entirely contradictory, but Wild Space follows the continuity as laid down by the cartoon series, whereas Jedi Trial was written in the era before the series and is based around the calendar as established by Dark Horse and Del Rey.
