My question is: I had heard that Darth Maul was "resurrected" several times in the Star Wars Tales series. The problem is, all of the issues before 20-21 are now considered Infinities, though with varying levels of "canonosity". Which of his "resurrections" are considered canon?
Only one of them. However, read this:

It says pretty clearly which parts are canon, and which aren't.
I had also found out that Wikipedia is not totally a reliable source, and I posted this again as my question was starting to fall way back.

You said "It remains elastic until it gets committed to film or another official source." But that would seem to freeze it only in continuity (2) above, not (1), for the case that it is not committed in film -- ie. unless a film is made, it's still "unknown" there (in 1). Is this right?
I'd appreaciate any responses to these questions.

I'm curious about these statements you've made about continuity earlier:
"The only relevant official continuities are the current versions of the films alone, and the combined current version of the films along with whatever else we've got in the Holocron.
Am I right in my interpretation of this that:
1. a continuity exists in which only the films exist, and nothing else is part of it, and
2. a continuity exists in which the films exist along with the EU materials and other "canon" items (C/S levels) in the Holocron.
Also, could these be the "two universes" George Lucas referred to in Starlog Magazine in 2005? And, does the existence of the "G/C/S" database somehow imply that only one continuity exists, as some particularly rabid fans have insisted? If not, what it it's relationship to the above continuities?

Some additional info on the Rodians:
Farr, Don and Dua are seen in AOTC (Extended commentary) and the 3 Rodians are the same ones as seen in the (unused?) footage from TPM (As can be seen VERY clearly)
With that in mind, I'd say this would be the most logical solution:
- Farr, Don and Dua are the ones we see here and in AOTC (Scene with Jar Jar and the Emergency Powers)
- My guess is that Dua is the female one because, well... Pa Dua sounds a bit more feminine than Tox Don...
- Wac is the aide to Palpatine seen in AOTC (Would have been better if they hadn't connected the same character to the name Farr...)
- Leaves us with the Image Attack one, but that can be Farr in another costume (He wouldn't be the only senator to change costumes during the movie.)

The Rodians have always puzzled me a bit as well. There were Rodians in the Senate for TPM who were presumably Onaconda Farr and his aides Tox Don and Pa Dua (although they weren't really seen in the film):

Then in AOTC, Dar Wac shows up as a hologram. Then, later on in Palpatine's office there's a Rodian that is dressed the same as him. However, as that Image Attack picture shows, the AOTC Onaconda Farr wore a different outfit. So going by all that, it may be that originally Dar Wac and the Rodian in Palpatine's office were supposed to be the same character and Onaconda Farr was another Rodian shot for the Senate scenes. At some point though it was decided that the one in Palpatine's office was Onaconda Farr (despite his costume being the same as Dar Wac's) and the Rodians briefly seen in the Senate must be different character entirely, or simply Farr wearing a different outfit than he wears in Palpatine's office.
I suppose one confusion saving move could've been to say that Dar Wac and the Rodian dressed like him were in fact both Dar Wac. Then all the other seen in the Senate scenes could be Farr and his aides. But I suppose there must be reasons for making Farr be the Rodian in Palpatine's office. |

Having a bit of a problem here trying to ID the Rodian politicians from the prequels;
There are several names known: Dar Wac, Onaconda Farr, Pa Dua and Tox Don, but who's who? Are any of them in TPM? As this image suggests, Farr is the one we can also see in TPM, and in AOTC we see Farr (according to the Databank), wearing the same outfit as Dar Wac. So there we have 2 names for what is actually one and the same guy.
These Rodians haven't got a name (to my knowledge):
2 Aides from TPM
Image Attack Rodian (It says Onaconda Farr there...)
So... any word to clear this matter? |

I don't get it.
Its a Muun? So what? Boba Fett first appeared in that cartoon, and ended up in the PT. Who is to say the same thing didn't happen to the Muun species?
Only possible consequence I see from this is that we have to change the First Appearance note of the Muun species on Wookieepedia. I will agree, though, it was a good find.

Mr Chee, I have a question as well if I may:
It is known that in ROTJ Anakin supposedly disappeared after he died and that Luke was simply burning Vader's armour on the funeral pyre. This seems to be an element of continuity which has been altered and that the original intention when the scene was made was that Luke was burning Anakin's whole body. My question is, if it was changed was it an idea created by George Lucas himself and do you know when precisely it was decided upon? The reason I ask is because although recent official sources state that Anakin did disappear (off-screen) nothing has been altered in the film to reflect that fact. So anyone who only sees the film probably does not know that Anakin is supposed to have disappeared since they are given the same impression that the audience in '83 got - that it is Anakin's whole body on the pyre.

Yes, because on the QA section ( http://starwars.com/qa - Ep VI Lore section) a question is asked about who the men are that accompany the Emperor in ROTJ. The answer given is:
+Accompanying Emperor Palpatine in several scenes is a cadre of Imperial advisors. They are alternately known as Imperial dignitaries, or more sinisterly, the Emperor's Inner Circle. They wear burgundy and purple robes and have pale skin and sunken features. Many of them are key officials in the managing of the Imperial bureaucracy.
Among the members of Palpatine's Inner Circle are: Sate Pestage, Janus Greejatus, Sim Aloo, Ars Dangor, and Kren Blista-Vanee.+
Along with that answer is the same picture that has been linked to earlier. Although the answer names several members of Palpatine's Inner Circle, it does not make it clear that those names go with the men in the photo. As it happens, four out of five of the names do fit those in the picture. The only one unaccounted for is Ars Dangor. He may be the man on the far left in blue, depending on whether the answer was meant to say those names mentioned applied to those characters in the photo. |

Hi Tasty!
2 short questions:
Could you tell me if the names of the Imperial advisors in this image are correct? I'm familiar with Sim Aloo and Janus Greejatus from the CCG and Pestage from the X-wing comics. But where do the other two names come from?
Also, I heard you once confimed that the reborn Palpatine was actually lying to Luke when he told him his death at Endor wasn't the first time he died. Is that true? |

There's conflicting sources about the death of Boga. The film and the comic leave it ambiguous, where the novel states that she is dead. So, what's up? Is Boga really dead, or is she alive?

In Complete Locations the article about the Emepror's tower on the Death Star II it shows a statue given to him by a long time freind a follower Moff Panaka. Is this the same Panaka from Episode I or a relation?

I've noticed Decipher copied Jabba's Palace Nikto characters, who now are known by two names.
< Yeah ... that was because Decipher did a lot of guessing at the end of their work. If the Nikto aren't easy enough, this only complicates it ...
