Holy crap.

(Okay, uhm, mildly off-topic.)

"Eville_Jedi" . . . Does that happen to be referring to "Eville" as in "Evansville, Indiana?"

Does it still make sense to say that an Imperial Star Destroyer has 60 XX-9 guns? The movie model obviously has 8 big turrets and two large quads (same problem with the ISD II). Can we get some real armament figures for these ships (and MC80's)? The databank has no information in the sidebar and the information in the text is inconsistent with the movie models

Why do the following ships, Tartan, assault frig mk II and broadside have very large sizes? Excluding another reference the ships were scaled in the game to be easily viewable not 1:1 scale (petroglyphs website shows an image comparing the broadside to a tie fighter and the ship is way smaller than 500m) just curious where the number came from is all...

the Imperial Sourcebook for the roleplaying game, multiple in universe references say there are 25,000 star destroyers in the imperial fleet, does this mean a mix of Venators, Victories, ISD I/II's and other ships or simply that Palpantine had 25,000 ISD I/II?

1. Who created the G,C,S,N canon hierarchy?

2. Since its initial creation, has the canonical hierarchy ever been updated to include new levels, or to change which parts fits in which category?

3. If the answer to question number 2 is yes, who authorised this change?

Mr. Chee, the character played by Jake Lloyd's sister in TPM, doe she have an official name? She's often called Ellé, but I don't remember ever seeing that name published in an official source.

Thx Mr. Chee for pointing out these issues. It has once more proven the failure of many to blindly believe everything that is written on certain sites (like Red6).

Are there any Hailfire Droids in ROTS?

I think I've spotted one on Mygeeto but I'm not sure.

Hi Tasty - sorry, another continuity question.

I'm a little confused about the differences between the two official Star Wars continuities of Films Only and Films + EU; since both continuities are bound by the films, surely they're almost exactly the same with the only difference between them being that one has no extra details outside of the films, and the other does? Since any additional details created in the Film Only universe (like the upcoming Star Wars TV series by George Lucas) automatically carry across into the Films + EU universe as G-canon, does that mean there will never be any actual deviation between the two? What exactly are the differences in each universe's storylines? And what goes in the blank timeline spaces of the Film Only universe - can we never know the history or background of that Star Wars universe like we can in the EU Star Wars universe?

Many thanks!

Is the Ewok village we see in "Marooned" (Tales 22) supposed to be Bright Tree Village and are the featured Ewoks the ones we know from RotJ?
That's certainly the intent, though it's not set in stone.

Is "Star Wars: Demoiliton" canon? Especially concerning the appearances of Aurra Sing and Darth Maul.
For the most part, no, but there are certainly elements that are part of continuity. Aurra Sing's true story between the time of her imprisonment on Oovo 4 in the Jedi: Aayla Secura comic and Tempest has yet to be revealed. Darth Maul's appearance in this game and in the Tony Hawk game is non-continuity.

Is the Corporate Alliance Fantail ship that appears in Labyrinth of Evil this ship that's on the Corporate Alliance's Behind the Scenes Page in the Databank?
Yes.

Are they Holonet News articles dated off a 12 month calander or the old 10 month calander?
12-month, though the absence of articles in the 11th and 12th months was, I think, a conscious decision, possibly coupled with an unintentional mistake.

TT do you have a better picture of the Holwuff
No.

Is the Liquidator that features heavily in Star Wars Missions the same Star Destroyer mentioned in Hero's Trial?
Yes.

is there some kind of entry on the background character played by Nathan Hamill
I'll add it as an unnamed character. If a name hasn't gone to Lucasfilm for approval, it's not official.

Is the Aleenan Senator Bogg Tyrell the widow of Ratts Tyerell
They're unrelated. Unused text for the Attack of the Clones Movie Scrapbook had intended to point out this fact.

is it at all possible that Brianna's adventures with her could still be canon?
Maybe.

Could you please either confirm or deny that either this is Bane or. if not, do they have a name?
Not yet named.

what, if anything, is your opinion on the solid-state hologram Maul from Phantom Menaces in Tales 17?
Non-continuity.

This guy is often identified as Ariq Joanson, a character from "Tales of the Mos Eisley Cantina"
The Holocron does not have visual reference for Ariq.

Is the Aleenan Senator Bogg Tyrell the widow of Ratts Tyerell and the mother of their three children Djulla, Doby and Deland? Or is there no connection between Bogg and Ratts and "Mrs. Tyerell" from the Episode I cut-scenes has not yet received a canonical name?

I don't want to butt in too much but here's one answer from http://starwars.com/qa :

Q. Are Sebulba, Ark "Bumpy" Roose, and Ratts Tyerell in the diner or the Coruscant chase scene in Episode II? In my Episode II Visual Dictionary, you can clearly see their faces.

A. Those aren't the Podracers you see in Episode II, though their computer-generated models were used as a basis for a handful of new characters. During the speeder chase, we see Obi-Wan nearly crash into an Aleena and a Dug. That's not Sebulba, but rather a Dug named Seboca. The Aleena is Bogg Tyrell (apparently no relation to Ratts since the surname is spelled differently). She is also seen in the diner, along with two Dugs named Rednax and Manoca, and a Nuknog named Slyther Bushforb. Outside the diner, there's an alien (it uses Podracer Ebe Endocott's body type) named Ony Bobbisia.

The same goes for Bogg Tyrell (John, you must have kept an eye on my activities today :p). I don't know of any official source that has stipulated that the wife of Ratts Tyerell is in fact Bogg Tyrell, the Aleena Senator who appears twice in 'AotC'.

It's a wise decision to ask Mr. Chee about these 'troublemakers'.

No official source has ever indicated that this guy is really Joanson. If it would be, I would certainly like to know what source that is. I'd be surprised about it.

This is one of these fanon things that started on the infamous 'Red6' website and some other sites have copied that blindly without doing any further research. Even more sites have copied blindly what was copied blindly before, etc ...

Hi Tasty!

another question about an (possibly) unnamed character:

This guy is often identified as Ariq Joanson, a character from "Tales of the Mos Eisley Cantina", on many webpages. Since Joanson was present in the cantina when Luke and Obi-Wan met Han Solo it's a logical assumption, I believe. Most of the other cantina patrons were already named by the CCG, but the identity of this guy is somehow still disputed. So, what do you say? Is this Ariq Joanson or not?

Thank you.

Thanks for the previous reply, but next, I have another 3 questions. First of all, though the Jedi Exile is canonically female, is it at all possible that Brianna's adventures with her could still be canon? Although she only joins the party if you're male, I can't really see any conflict if that was only game mechanics and in fact both the Disciple and the Handmaiden joined the party.

Also, in the Tales 17 story, All for You, there is a Dark Jedi. Many fans have speculated that this is Darth Bane. Could you please either confirm or deny that either this is Bane or. if not, do they have a name?

And finally what, if anything, is your opinion on the solid-state hologram Maul from Phantom Menaces in Tales 17? You've said before that only the silly stories should definitely be non-canon, whereas some of the others (I believe) could be considered S-canon. While I don't find this story silly myself, some others do so I'm curious if it's canon, possibly canon, or completely non-canon?

It's a little bit confusing with these two names that are almost written the same.

I really hope they`re one and the same person. I just don't like all these unnamed characters...;)

Leland, is there some kind of entry on the background character played by Nathan Hamill in Episode I? I'm not even sure if he's actually visible, but he's been given the unofficial name "Rehtul Minnau" by Hamill. I'm sure it's completely unofficial. I'm just curious since the character appears HERE on the Wookieepedia.

Oh, and since I know that SW online fandom breaks down into groups, I just want to say I'm not painting any one group when I talk about wikis, as there are some people out there who do an amazing job of maintaining pages against constant vandalism that occurs on all sides.

It's not a min/max type debate because I know fans whose theories that I disagree with who just do an awesome job of maintaining pages and gathering info and I'm grateful, it's just frustration with the system that annoys me.

So, it's not the fine people who keep the wikis up that frustrate me, but those who vandalize them or engage in edit wars to get personal theories in. I appreciate the amount of work wiki admins and such do, I just don't know that anyone can keep out the visigoths of the internet.

Ha! Just look in the edit history

I could look at the edit history, but I shouldn't have to.

It just looks like white noise to me. To be honest, wikis are losing their value to me very, very quickly. I'm quite handy with google and most info can be found outside of wikis and better sourced than the stuff inside wiki, and with the prolieferation of bad info on wikis by everything from people getting stuff wrong to vandals...I just don't have much trust or use for them as a research tool even for recreational use.

Apologies if this is the wrong thread to ask in, but can anyone tell me, and source it, the number of starfighters fielded by the Empire and Republic at the Battle of Endor.

Yes, I've seen Wookiepedia but I don't trust wikis for exact information, and considering the fact that numbers seem to be among the most argued things I'd rather be sure I had a number that was canon rather than one plucked from the ether or personal preference.

TNC never says when she is released.

Uh, did you actually read it? Page 65:

"Within a few months she would be free again."

No way that "a few months" can be stretched to "40+ years."
