Okay, Holiday Special. It's canon. I get that. Other sources have made references to it and there's been three separate characters from it included in the late great WTS feature. So, I assume that the Boba Fett cartoon is +also +canon---but how? Is it canon in the sense that that encounter with Fett actually happened, or is it canon in the sense that it's an in-universe cartoon that Lumpy was watching? Is it both? Like a handy way for the Rebels to spread the word about what they were doing? Or an exaggerated "true stories from the front line" kind of cartoon? Which would explain why Lumpy switched it off when that nosy Imperial wandered over.

Just curious.

The easy ones are well taken care of. This is my next focus, and I would be curious to see if anyone has any info on them.

Any hep here would be hot.

Are you sure your time is worth spending on careful research of S-canon? I mean, aren't there C-canon timelines that need more attention?

I'm looking for the first appearance of Wicket's sister/s in the cartoon series. I'm trying to do a little detective work for more precise placement of the films and cartoons. These are the factors I am considering:

1. Wicket's age
2. The appearance of Chukha-trok in the cartoons and movies
3. The age of his baby sister
4. When the DSII started construction over Endor (or, more specifically, when the planetary shield went up)

I'm afraid I can't necessarily count the Kevin Anderson "Endor" article unless it can be confirmed that the films definitely take place after the entire cartoon series. The "Battle for the Sunstar" episode seems to indicate when the forest moon first came to the attention of the Empire, and Anderson's article has Charal still alive (and possibly the Gorax, though there is no way of knowing if this is the same one that Wicket and company rescue Cindel and Mace's family from).

Any hep here would be hot.

Tasty, just a few Marvel-related questions. In Issue 58: Sundown and Issue 77: Chanteuse of the Stars, is the "General" supposed to be Rieekan? Also, in Issue 65: Golrath Never Forgets, is the general that congratulates Luke after the trial Veertag or Rieekan? Thanks.

Is the information in the German-language original

the Holocron? If so, what canon-status does it have?

Most likely non-canon, as it seems those books were never approved by Lucasfilm. At least there's no mention of Lucasfilm in the books, they only say Copyright (c) 1997 by author and publisher.

And what's up with the Sith Empire using the Republic/Galactic Empire insignia? If they are truly the True Sith, and consider Korriban a holy world, why would they abandon the TotJ Sith insignia in favour of a corruption of their enemy's insignia?

EDIT: I guess Revan learned from the tombs of Korriban, then went to Trayus, then went to the True Sith. It fits, I guess.

It has begun...

By the way, how about this Sith Emperor ? He's said to have fled with his mots trusted Dark Lords ! There would have been an Emperor superior to the Dark Lords of the Sith then ? A sort of passive ruler behind the executive one perhaps ?

Leland, will Licencing hire an army of people to check continuity for SW:TOR? Because, if it is just you and a couple others, in addition to your usual work, Conan will break his leg.

Leland, will we ever see a canonical path for the story of the Decide Your Destiny juvenile book: The Clone Wars: The Way of the Jedi?

Well, you can clearly see it still under construction in space during TFU on the LucasArts version of the game. It's only in the other versions, such as on the Wii, where it looks completed because the cutscenes were not nearly as detailed.

This might have been a test run for the ship, after a few missions, some things probably needed cleaning up, such as shields, engines, weapons, cargo bays, generators, lifts, and the like. Thus, the Executor may have been capable of moving around and performing operations, but may have still been in the initial testing stages, and was thus later returned to drydock before then. To draw a parallel to Star Trek real quick, it may have been like their version of the Galaxy class line; it was just so large and advancded that there may have been things overlooked and the inital test runs were meant to iron that out.

It seems that these two or three unidentified admirals (which may include Admirals Tandres and Tavares, mentioned in Galaxywide NewsNets in Star Wars Adventure Journal 12) would have been the admirals in charge of separate fleets that were combined to create Death Squadron - it does say that Vader called his favorite Star Destroyers together. Amise Griff would presumably be Vader's choice or the senior-most of these admirals, which is why he would assume command of Death Squadron.

Then the story would proceed like this: Griff dies, the Executor is unveiled, Death Squadron is officially formed, and Kendal Ozzel is transferred from the ISD Reprisal to the Executor as Griff's replacement. Note, however, that there would be a period between Griff and Ozzel without a commander of Death Squadron, unless Admiral Bentro (the third admiral, perhaps?) becomes acting admiral as commander of the Executor.

My final question is this: Would any of this be possible?

Mr. Chee, is it true that Amise Griff was the original admiral in command of Death Squadron, even though the fleet wasn't officially formed until after the commissioning of the +Executor+? If so, why are there two unidentified admirals (possibly three) present onboard the Executor in some of the Classic Star Wars comic strips?

If I may, I believe I've come up with a good way to fix all of this. In my opinion, it's likely that Death Squadron was unofficially formed before the +Executor+'s christening ceremony, after which it was officially formed. This would make sense, as the Executor is active before this ceremony as well.

TFU questions (spoilers apply):

1. So Vader spent time raising and training an apprentice, just to deceive him into gathering Rebel leaders... that Palpatine ended up letting go? I'm not sure I understand the point of it all?

2. How is the Executor in use before it was constructed at the Starship Yards of Fondor two years later?

3. If Bail is a fugitive from the law, branded a traitor and terrorist, why does he allow his daughter to stay in the Senate? For that matter, why is Leia not arrested on site when she goes to Coruscant? Why do Vader, Palps and Leia pretend like they all have amnesia? Here, in their midst, is someone who knows about their top-secret weapon, is outspoken against the Empire, and is the daughter of the man they supposedly wanted to kill.

Question for Chee. Is George Lucas allowed to change canon on whim? That is to say, if he makes a statement on canon policy, is it to be taken as official? As such in the case of him saying that there are three worlds for Star Wars? Or does Lucas have to actually go through someone to change the canon policy (such as speaking to Chee first?) or does someone like Chee have to make such a statement in order for it to be official?

Leland,
I've got two question about LFL's 12-month-calendar system:
1) When does a year in BBY/ABY begin? At the first day of the in-universe year (e.g. 13:01:01 / 13:F1:1) or at the day of the battle of Yavin?
2) How many days does a month have?
Thanks for your time! (First posted on the BCaTVIPs thread)
