My guess is that with the new Clone Wars coming, people over at TOS did not want to confuse new viewers with both versions under the same 'heading" (plus the fact that the 'old' Clone Wars are available on DVD for some time now)...

I though the clone wars episodes that were on cartoon network were on this site. I watched 10 episodes and then I cant find them. I Lucus scraping these as though they have never existed and doing the new revamped clone wars? Are any of the plots going to carry over?

Valin Kenobi, season three was not set some years after season two. It picks up right where season two left off, with the clones coming to the aid of Ki Adi Mundi and the other Jedi who are being attacked by Grievous.

Yes, the Vol II commentary is HIGHLY superior to the Vol I commentary. There's no more of those monotonous Genndy comments of "Oh, we thought this was cool." or "These are the Jedi, they are the good guys."

The Hyperspace commentary is the Director's commentary that was available online to Hyperspace members.

Ok all, I'm sorry if I've posted this on the wrong thread. I can't find my way around as there is so much EU related material.
I have both clone wars cartoons on dvd and really enjoy them. The trouble is on volume one I can't access the Hyperspace commentary:_| . It plays but is exactly the same as the director's commentary.
Has anyone else had this problem? What is the difference between the two commentaries?

I would appreciate any help/advice. Thanks to all! :)

Yeah, I think a lot of people feel the same way. But as you say, it's near Christmas, meaning they're likely to sell more copies.

I'm glad it is getting a release this year though. The last series took much longer to come to DVD.

Too bad they're waiting until December to release it. I figure they're waiting for the Christmas season, but they could have easily released it before the ROTS DVD comes out, as a nice precursor to ROTS. But why release it after, when its content takes place before the feature film?

*GRRRRR!!!! YOU TOOK THAT FROM MY THREAD THAT WAS NOT REDUNDANT NOR HAD MUCH TO DO WITH THIS TOPIC. *

If you check the times I actually posted the link before your topic was started, and the mods locked yours, so it's likely they want you to post here.

this topic is for what we'd like to see and SPECULATION. He states clearly in the beginning that there weren't any release dates when this Topic was created.

*Then of course there is the forthcoming
full-length TV series. It's anybody's guess how that
will eventually be classified.

I was asking what was he talking about in the above
statement. *

Oh, sorry, I assume that the statement referred to
the 3D version of the Clone Wars as the topic is
about CW. I gather that the new 3D episodes will
last for 30 minutes each.

Yes each episode is going to be a full length 30 minute episode.

*clonewarz.com has an article up saying the rumored date for Vol II on DVD is 12/6 *

That would make sense, but is still around half a year away.

Are you talking about the Clone Wars 3D Animated Series slated for release in Fall 2007 or the upcoming Star Wars Live Action TV Series set in between ROTS and ANH starring minor characters.

Neither. We were talking about the Clone Wars cartoon, shown on Cartoon Network.

*to my knowledge there are only two series, not
three*

It's a little confusing at first.

Clone Wars Volume I, first 20 episodes:

Season I (late 2003)
Season II (early 2004)

^ One continuous storyline, conceived at about the
same time, broken into two season segments.

Clone Wars Volume II, eps 20 - 25:

Season III (early 2005)

^ Second storyline, conceived after the first batch.
Takes place a couple of years after Volume I (Seasons
I and II) and leads right into Revenge of the Sith.

Then of course there is the forthcoming
full-length TV series. It's anybody's guess
how that will eventually be classified.
