agreed. Corran deserved masterness long before most people.

Kenth Hammer is basically the only tie between the jedi and the republic military before NJO which made him so invaluable.

Corran was before him, yet it took Corran longer to attain Mastership. Almost as though Luke places too much in TK.

I think it's focusing too much on the Solo's and Skywalkers (not that you can get enough of them, just that I want more of others)! Give me more Tahiri! More Tesar/Saba! More Corran! Die Zekk die! (lol j/k). Bring back Anakin Solo! Make me king...

All hail King Patrick! :p Just kidding!

Anyway, I would like to see more of Syal Antillies (Wedge's daughter), Jagged Fel, and other people who exceed by their own skills. I've had enough of the Jedi! There's more to the Galaxy then just them!

Heartalm might be having Jag withdrawals, but i'm having some serious issues with not enough Kyp action.

LOL! I agree. I miss Kyp too.

We're lacking some strong, handsome men on the light side of the force. :D

I think it's becaus your veiwing him in a threatened light.

No, I don't think so. I mean, even without Jag's existance it seems his character has diminished. Allston wrote him as a man that hardly ever speaks but in the YJK books, he was never that soft-spoken. He always took a leading role in conversations and actions.

You're right to say that we didn't see his character a lot in NJO. So maybe something changed that we don't know about. But I definitely don't see him as the same Zekk that was introduced to us in YJK.

Whether that's good or bad, is entirely subjective.

But IMO, even if Jag was never invented, I would still feel this way toward Zekk simply because he's different than what I'm used to.

yeah thats basically just a longer version of what i siad / was implying. lol.

and as far as masters go if one's gotta die then get rid of Kenth hammer......why in the heck IS he a master anyways? cause he' been working as a jedi for over 20 yrs? is that part of his sign on bonus? lol

lol i dont know what his deal is. he just appeared out of nowhere.

He could be the Next Corran or Luke, all he needs is the right story.

amen to that.
I've always thought that Zekk would be the next Kyp.
Just give him some more page time dammit.
And a nice kyp he would make.
Speaking of kyp...I want the Kypster back in the next installment.

Heartalm might be having Jag withdrawals, but i'm having some serious issues with not enough Kyp action.

Godess out.

The bond they have now isn't a read your mind bond but a sense your thoughts, which worked out well in Betrayal. When Jaina was thining about the rookie saying everything looked fine, and Zekk laughed- priceless.

Han even said it in the Joiner King My next point- It's Han's Opinion, not a fact. Fathers ALWAYS think the worst of the men hanging around their daughters. Zekk shouldn't be killed off, he should get a better role. More "him" time in the stories. I love that Jacen and Jaina get time, and it was cool that Tahiri even got some time. But Zekk has been left out. It's a shame. He could be the Next Corran or Luke, all he needs is the right story. Send him off to some far reach of the Galaxy on a misson till LotF is over is people think he should die. there are few Jedi of that Gen anyway.

At least that's how I see it.

DN- Jaina postponed her relationship with Jag, she's recovered from her dark state, it is only natural for Zekk and Lowie to hang out with her. Tenel Ka became Queen, more pressing responsibilities, Jacen was fundamentaly changed in the war he became a loner. Zekk in his honesty openly admited he still cared for Jaina. When they start to be effected by the Killiks and start Joining, Lowie would have been right there in Zekks position had he not been captured. Zekk is still just as funny as he ever was, and has exepted he and Jaina won't be anything more than Jedi Partners.

I think the problem in the POV is that your worried about Zekk encroaching on what is seen as "Jags' territory" IMO that isn't the case. Zekk is still the same, he just hasn't had much alone time in the writting.

Zekk really hadn't changed much as a character, sure he was left out of most of the NJO books till Star by Star, but remeber he was the moral center of the group. Jacen was working hard to be the negotiator. Zekk saw things in black and white, as Luke had at that time taught. When Anakin died, and Jaina started down her dath of darkness for a while, it made sense that Zekk distanced himself from her. For him the call of the darkside was too strong, to help her would have been to get too close to an edge he vowed NEVER to return too. But that didn't stop him from caring about her.

*Yes, it did. Whatever happened to the Zekk from those books? If he acted now like he did back then, I think more people would like him. Jaina or not. Now, he's just a "follower" whereas he used to be a leader. Anybody else see that?

I think it's becaus your veiwing him in a threatened light.

I agree with the follower statement. That's all he did in DN was follow her around, heck, Han even said it in the Joiner King.......

The beging of Return to Ord Mantell show Zekk in a awesom light, you'd like it, very Corran-like IMO
