What we really need is a zealous Continuity Emperor that is in charge of coordinating books, comics, games and TV, and who has power to demand that the disperate elements conform to each other.
"That sounds a lot like a dictatorship to me."
"Well...if it works..."

I think the Clone Wars series and Labyrinth of Evil (LoE) were perfect prequels, but I don't know which is better: Clone Wars or LoE, because they both end kinda differently.
I know, it's kinda frustrating...I just finished LoE, and I had to decide which accounting of events to believe. LoE, of course, but unfortunatelythe conflict dimishes my enjoyment of the cartoons, now - I have to watch the Coruscant parts knowing that they aren't "real". According to the same book, though, most of the other stuff that happened in the cartoon was in-continuity, so I just don't know what to think. I love 'em both, though.
Does anyone else fear for the new TV series? The whole Clone Wars vs. LoE thing bodes ill for continuity.

*It looks hopefuly they wn't ignore continuity with the 3D Clone Wars series as Leland mentioned to me that whomever is currently in charge of the project requested copies of the Clone Wars material. *
Hopefully, that means ALL Clone Wars material, including Literature, Video Games, Cartoons, and Comics.

It got locked because weird things happen to the forum if a thread gets more than 10000 posts. A new thread will be made soon.
It got revealed at C III there will be another Clone Wars TV series, this time in 3d. But I doubt it will lead up to ROTS, since the 6 months before Episode III is already full of other stuff. Unless they decide to ignore continuity, which I sincerely hope they don't.

Hi All and Tasty in particular -
Why was the BCandT VIP messageboard closed? I read that board regularly to get the "authoritative" word on release, continuity, and concept issues? Rumors and fan speculation is one thing but "the word" from the actual people involved in another. Is there any way you can re-instate the progress on the board or begin a new VIP board? Please...
Thanks so much,
kidhell

I like a lot of the photo composites (though not all), but yeah I wish there was a better mix with painted covers.

Whoa, NICE! I still don't get this, ever since I saw the awesome Japanese covers for the NJO - why do we get the crappy photo composite covers, and they get these awesome painted Drew Strurzan-esque covers? I figured Del Rey just did the photo composites because they were too cheap to hire a painter, but then why do the Japanese get them?
It seems like the only excuse would be that the Japanese versions were released after their American counterparts (thus giving the artists time for a decent cover), but then why - after the art exists - don't they put them on the American books?

^ Take a look at the Japanese cover for Jedi Trial . Look at the Clone Trooper captain. Ep. III blaster, Ep. II armor! They hadn't completely phased out the old armor yet, but the new blasters had debuted! That's why the Japanese covers are perfect! Some characters are from Ep. II (the red and other clonetroopers) while some are from Ep. III (Anakin), and some (Pors Tonith and the yellow trooper, the blazing ship) from the book. I LOVE (:x) THOSE COVERS!!!

the Phase 2 Clonetrooper armor came into use around the two year mark, right? Does this mean they're using it in Jedi Trial, despite the cover?
I'd guess that's likely, though they may not have completely phased out the old armor yet.

Astrobot42- Not everybody is the same. You started at 9 years of age to read star wars novels. Thats not bad at all. Unfortunately, not everyone does the same thing. I started reading when I was also 9. I enjoy more books than I do cartoons or even films.
Darth Talas- Yeah, whatever dude. Not everyone likes to read novels you know. I have come across a lot of kids and even adults that rather watch a cartoon series, read a comic book and play a video game rather than read a novel. Just think and wonder why all that Japanese stuff is so famous and popular (Manga's, video games, cartoons/anime).

Okay, I've got one for you guys - the Phase 2 Clonetrooper armor came into use around the two year mark, right? Does this mean they're using it in Jedi Trial, despite the cover? I mean, that wouldn't be unheard of - we've already figured out that Anakin's hair is wrong, because he still should have the padawan braid.

Indeed, though it certainly takes less thought and concentration than reading a book (which I think is what was meant by the comment).

Where does that come from kids would much rather read a star wars novel then a cartoon.
This is true. I started my Star Wars novel binge when I was nine....more than half my life ago....
