At the end of Wedge's Gamble Ackbar sends an interdictor cruiser to Coruscant in case the planetary shields are still up. I've always wonder what he was going to do with it. Pull an entire fleet out of hyperspace under the shields on top of each other and the Golan stations? (Talk about a desperate measure.) How far up are the shields supposed to be anyway? Does anybody know the max. range of a turbolaser battery btw?

For the Halcyon lines, maybe Corellain Jedi did things slightly different, and I can't remember anything about Kam, was he from the planet where Luke had to do a test in JAT??

In ROTJ who were Palpatines helpers that looked like they were from the Trade Federation? Do they appear in the EU?
Well, if you consider the Star Wars Customizable Card Gamr from Decipher to be EU, then yes they do. Other than that, I don't know. However, the names which can be found in the CCG are Janus Greejatus and Sim Aloo. They were elder advisors and loyal members of Palpatine's inner circle. Another member of that inner circle, who was just as hideous and who was not present on the Death Star was Sate Pestage, who was the Imperial Grand Vizer, and basically ran the Empire's day-to-day operations.

Hi! newbie here..not sure if it's been asked before, but where is it written about Kyle Katarn joining the jedi academy as one of the first 12?
This can be found in the Essential Chronology by Kevin J. Anderson and Dan Wallace. Jedi Knight: Mysteries of the Sith doesn't necessarily lead to this conclusion, but Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast does mention his involvment with the Academy at one point.

these are the ones that should be on the tip of every NJO fan's tongue. but there are several commanders mentioned throughout the NJO. but half of them are either dead or shamed from losing battles, and the other half we don't know hwat's happening with them at teh moment.

I've heard theres a thread about this somewhere but I can't seem to find it. Anyway my Q is...
Who are the main leaders of the Vong? Is there a site I can use that can help me with information regarding the Vong? I'm doing my first Fan Fic which includes Vong and I"m not to sure about them as when Anakin died in the NJO it kinda turned me off.
