*I'm so glad Tenel Ka is finally appearing more and is not being underrated. *
I too wish that the series had provided a larger role for Tenel Ka. Her situation on Hapes along with her loyalty pretty much kept her there. She's had a large impact and not as much screen time.

Sue, I just want to say True Colors was great and Fury looks awesome. I'm so glad Tenel Ka is finally appearing more and is not being underrated.

t's my understanding (and I could be wrong. Correct me if I'm wrong!) that the NYT bestseller list is actually compiled from how many books are ordered by bookstores in New York City. This is only bookstores in NYC, and it isn't even how many the stores sold. It's just how many they ordered.
Yes, it's based on bookstore orders, not actual books sold. Not just in NYC though, it's nationwide, I believe. I know we get disappointed if a book doesn't make the list and it's going back to print that week for additional copies (because the book has sold out).... makes us wish the bookstores had ordered more in the first place.
I honestly don't know how to get the sales figures from where you're sitting. I don't know if they are public anywhere. We get them through the publishers themselves and publishers have access to restricted resources. Let me know if you find anything through your internet searches!

Sue, both of your last posts made me laugh out loud.
Edit: Also, Ackbar vs. Pellaeon!

Sue at the end of the Rise of Darth Vader - Olee Starstone, Chewbacca, and others set off to find other jedis and wookies at the begining of the darktimes aka the Galatic Empire- nuthing is ever said about what became of that group-
a book on Olee Starstone and her group would be nice

Then I was gone for a few months, and I got back, and she and her Ask Karen Traviss thread - that I loved - were gone. Was there a connection between the two? What happened?
Yes, I'm afraid it was your leaving that did it.
Yes, that was meant to be a joke.

Sue,
I would Like to know if a reset of the series has been discussed? There is not too much more the big three can do, untill age catches up with them. How well do you think a post Legacy era series would do without Luke and co.?

Thanks for the answer! I think it's safe to assume that Inferno would have been Jae Juun and Tarfang, then.
They were certainly the logical choice.

Sue,
I would love to see LFL get Dark Horse, LucasArts, and Lucas Books together to do a multimedia story in the Legacy era. You could even get Hasbro and Wizards of the Coast on board with that. Have it be one big event...like Force Unleashed, but in the Legacy era.

Well, Wikipedia(not wookipedia) has listed as 750,000,000 total star wars books sold(second most in the category of a series, just above harry potter). No listing for individual books though.

And to answer your question, since you're answering mine, I would be ecstatic if Stackpole and Allston teamed up for a new series of X-Wing novels. They were absolutely brilliant, and I love every single one. They truly captured the feel of Space Operah, the true essence of Star Wars, and the humor that Allston especially employed was great.
Perhaps they could - heh, already presuming they will (Is Stackpole still willing to write? I haven't seen him since Dark Tide) - either write a series about Kyp's Squad, the Rogues during the YV War, or the Rogues during LotF, or something completely left-wing.
Also, a Karen novel of the Mandalorian War would be absolutely brilliant, plays right into her strengths.

I guess this is the right place to ask this.
Before I left, people were beginning to get quite flamey around Karen, but she still appeared on the board. Then I was gone for a few months, and I got back, and she and her Ask Karen Traviss thread - that I loved - were gone. Was there a connection between the two? What happened?

wishlist:
- Count Dooku's path from fallen Jedi to Sith Lord.
- Post-Dark Nest Luke/Leia on Naboo.
- Leia's early Rebel Alliance days.
- Pre-NJO Kyp Durron with his squadron. (If the totally unestablished Republic Commandos, the non-book established Darth Bane, and the briefly-seen-in-film X-Wing characters can all get books, why not characters like Kyp?)
No plot points. Just Ideas.

I'd like to finally see a story with Luke and the other new Jedi searching for lost Jedi information/teachings/artifacts. You would think they would have done that, especially after the New Republic retook Coruscant. We also now know that the Jedi Temple survived until ROTJ with it showing up at the end of the ROTJ:SE.
Idea #2, how about a story dealing with Rebel special forces?

thanks sue. i know you can't answer every question, and i thank you for answering mine. i am honored that you read my post at all. all i really had to offer was in that paragraph. i think we can fill in somespaces. i think we would cherish more novels with luke and mara , since mara is gone. and i see many of us want to see some spaces filled between the njo and DN and DN to legacy of the force. and Jacen's five year journey has great interest for us

Oh, yes! Did I ever miss the obvious.
A Fel Family back story would be very nice -- covering the YV war era from their POV, the time period when they lost Davin and Cherith. The Fels are one of the 'first families' of the galaxy, and yet we know very little about them during their time with the Chiss. Their relationship to the Chiss and the Empire will probably have an impact on the politics of the galaxy under Fel I, so more background here would indeed be very nice.

If you want to post what you'd like to see without adding story plot points, etc., I'll jot it down, but I don't have time to respond to each question. Does that make sense??
Baron Fel and the Empire of the Hand!
 :^O
Anything at all about them.
Hi Jeff, I looked back at my notes and we had Luke and Mara slated for SACRIFICE and no specifics for INFERNO -- my notes on that one just say (two people).
Thanks for the answer! I think it's safe to assume that Inferno would have been Jae Juun and Tarfang, then.
