Ugh, another size? Does no one care about a uniform looking bookshelf? Thankfully I've already decided to buy the FOTJ hardcovers.

Well, thats going to bugger up the paperback section of my bookshelf!! *
I know right!! + Prays it's either for JUST this series, or that ALL switch+ If they ALL change then the shelf will still look normal, but every other series doing a different size is awkward.

*They're making the books a little larger and calling them "premium" paperbacks -- they're 3/4" taller and a touch wider. Seems to be the trend in paperbacks now. I don't know yet whether this change is for all our paperbacks, or just the FotJ ones... *

Hey Sue, can you tell us when we will see the back cover for BACKLASH?
Pretty sure she said in the next month or so. Not certain, though, you'd have to check the last few pages.

I found out about the higher price for the paperbacks -- yes, the Fate of the Jedi paperbacks will be $9.99 in the U.S. They're making the books a little larger and calling them "premium" paperbacks -- they're 3/4" taller and a touch wider. Seems to be the trend in paperbacks now. I don't know yet whether this change is for all our paperbacks, or just the FotJ ones...
Oh no, not you guys too.....

Oh, dear. So they're going to be like The Clone Wars paperbacks then?
Will there be, in addition to that, the usual mass market paperback size for $7.99 with the FotJ series?

Thank you, Sue. I appreciate you checking into that on our behalf. Although it's not great news, at least they're not charging $10 for the regular sized PBs. Although, I do like the regular sizes better. Smaller text and all.

I hope it's just FotJ paperbacks. How come some of the older paperbacks are 6.99, LotF and the newer ones are 7.99, and now we've got these "premium paperbacks" for 9.99?

Isn't the spoiler policy here two weeks?
Two months. One week for Clone Wars episodes.

Isn't the spoiler policy here two weeks? And it's been more than two weeks since Abyss came out, let alone Omen and Outcast.
As one who collects the paperbacks, I can sympathize, but spoilers are the risk you take when you wait for paperbacks but still frequent SW message boards. Fans are going to talk about the new stuff--no getting around that.

I don't care about being spoiled myself, but I know others who would rather wait and not get the Hardcovers of FotJ. I mainly was just reminding people.....
Obviously it doesn't apply to everyone. And if it may or does it's just a reminder.

Well, the list of things that require spoiler warnings in the Spoiler Policy thread hasn't been updated since April...

If a mod wishes to change my post, I'd be fine with it. Frankly, though, most of my comments were about Omen, not Abyss.

Jacen's fall has been handled oddly, but the authors have been admirably reticent about forcing Jacen's fall on some stupid side-cause. You'll notice that Denning did not have Jacen drink from the Fount of Power or the Knowledge...whatever it was. Golden's book almost explicitly says that Jacen was doomed to fall since the YV war, which is pretty much the attitude that Dark Nest and LOTF had. You'll remember that the flow-walk to Jacen in Omen was during his visit to the Ang-Tii, which happened before he visited the Mind-Walkers.

*How come Luke and Ben never ever mention Malinza
Thanas? This makes me sad.
If Malinza was born in 11 ABY (if I remember correctly), she'd be just a couple years younger than Jaina. There's no need for Luke to watch over a "girl" in her early thirties. She's probably halfway to being Head of Bakura by now. If it ever joins the GA (due to its remote isolation that'd be hard to pull off), she could be Senator Thanas and hang out with the gang.
