I will definitely be reading Blood Oath as well, as I consider it a part of the LotF/FotJ series, and therefor, I won't read everything else in the series and not Blood Oath!
Also, just a random question: Last night I was watching Empire Strikes Back. And as always I notice Artoo was at the window of Yoda's Hut as Luke and Yoda were discussing his training. But this time around, I noticed he saw the entire conversation.. Has that specific recording of Artoo's been used in any other Star Wars works? Like how his recording of Padme's death was seen by Luke later on, etc.

I'd be willing to pay the extra price for a short book that's GOOD rather than pay the same amount for a book that adds unnecessary filler just to meet some quota.

i agree edidie the only books i can think of shorter are the kids books which dont really count. i would like a unwrittin rule that states thathardcovers have to be over 350 pages or else the books are sold cheeper of they ut a nuber of short stories or ebooks at the back of them so we can get or monies worth

Finished Omen last night. Loved it. I like where the story is going, it looks like the rest of the series could be very exciting.
That said, I still think it is rediculous to have a hardcover book be 236 pages. I haven't seen any sw book that short, let alone a hardcover. I thought I was bummed when a couple of recent novels were in the 290-ish to 310-ish range.

Hi Sue,
I just wanted to add my two cents that I'm looking forward to reading about Zekk. I hope all works out well for Blood Oath coming out in 2010.
If it doesn't, I for one would still be willing to read a story set in "the past" about what he was up to during that time.
Just wanted to let you know that I can promise you at least one reader interested in buying books that take a "secondary" character like Zekk and give him a chance to shine.

Yeah, I had Hyperspace for a year, but never received a kit at all. As you can see by my name not being red, I didn't renew, so I guess I'm just going to miss out on the kit.
Last year, it came out in February '08, and this time it's June/July '09. So I guess having Hyperspace from April '08 to April '09 was just bad luck? You'd think they'd release them at the same time every year...

I got mine- just not complete, no cards, no patch, just a poster for RPG toys. And placing complaints has been a pain in the Hutt since they made it so you can't call and have to email.

Hopefully I'll get the Fan Club Kit this year. Last year, I had to end up getting an extra one from a friend who happened to get two. Mine never showed up from LFL.

Also, Sue, I have a minor question of my own that I hope you can shed some light on...
Regarding this new Christine Golden e-Book short story called "Imprint" that's supposed to be available in the new Hyperspace Fan Kit --- will ALL Hyperspace members be able to view/receive this? If so, will it be available on the Hyperspace Fiction page, or will it strictly be Emailed out to Hyperspace members?
Thanks for your time.

*> Hey, thanks for a shout out to the women and girls of
Star wars. I felt I was heard.*
If you still feel that female characters are being underused in the EU, I suggest picking up OMEN. Seemed like just about every main character was female... Jaina, Jysella, Vestara, her Master, Cilghal, Leia, Daala, Tahiri, Winter, Allana, Yaqueel, etc.
All had fairly significant roles.

Anytime.
My daughter's biggest complaint is that there are no girl SW toys at the store. And the ones they do have are either politicians, or all Padme and Leias. I miss when we had the Luminara and Barriss, and the rest of the lady Jedi toys, (or a Qui-gon) they came and went so fast, she hates that her brother has all these SW boys and she has like 6 girls and a few are different versions of Padme and Leia.
It's always good to incouorage girls to get into their inner geek, I took her to the comic store and she wanted one- I PROUDLY bought her a Supergirl comic.
She likes the SW novels I read them at night, their currently mid Hard Contact.

I wonder if this topic should have it's own thread? or if one is out there more appropreite.
Cause I thought Mon Mothma was poisoned and had never quite healed.
Here lets continue here Character Deaths in the SWU.

Neither do I as a matter of fact.
Deaths are usually violent or of old age in the galaxy. I think that a heart attack would just feel like a ripoff to the fans, so its best to be avoided.
Look how we complained about Shevu's death which was 'out of the blue'/

Mon Mothma died quietly ("in her sleep" according to Wookieepedia) although I don't recall the exact source.
