(approx) 12 months ABG- Hero of Cartao begins
12 months, 2 days ABG- Triple Zero begins
(approx) 12 months, 11 days ABG- Hero of Cartao ends
(approx) 12.5 months ABG- The Cestus Deception
begins
12 months, 29 days ABG- Triple Zero Ends

I don't think that's right for RCTZ, actually: what lengths of year are you using?

I've taken my date system from the 'Cron. This is the standard system, like GMT with bells on. Many planets use local date systems, but this is the galactic one.

A standard year is 368 standard days,. not 365. So 367 days ABG is minus one day before the year (which is ten standard months) and 395 days ABG is one standard year and 27 days ABG.

Someone check my maths, but I think that's right by GFFA time-keeping.

For info:
60 standard seconds in a standard minute
60 standard minutes in a standard hour
24 standard hours in a standard day
five standard days in a standard week
seven standard weeks in a standard month
ten standard months plus three fete weeks and three more holidays
Total: standard year is 368 standard days

(Hey, I said I was in pedant mode this week, didn't I?) ;)

Basicly, that would work out to be:

(approx) 12 months ABG- Hero of Cartao begins
12 months, 2 days ABG- Triple Zero begins 14:5:25
(approx) 12 months, 11 days ABG- Hero of Cartao ends
(approx) 12.5 months ABG- The Cestus Deception begins
12 months, 29 days ABG- Triple Zero Ends 14:6:22
(approx) 13 months ABG- The Hive occurs
(approx) 14 months ABG- The Cestus Deception ends (just under 14 months, actually)

Question re: Triple Zero timeline placement....

Currently I have TZ placed at 12 months
post-Geonosis. Is this before or after The Cestus
Deception, which also takes place at 12 months?

The main timeline of RCTZ is mainly between 367 days ABG and 395 days ABG. But there are also flashbacks to incidents between eight years and two months before that.

Tasty or Sue

I have finished reading the John Jackson Miller interview, and I am excited to read that there is going to be a new Knights of the Old Republic on-going comic book series, plus a minor revelation that a KOTOR-3 video game could be in the works. This coupled with the Darth Bane book, is it me or this era really starting to get hot. I hope that in the future with the animation department, that a second star wars animated series is considered and that its placed in this era. Should be an interesting couple of years.

Tasty Taste:

They do? But yeah, we may have had to fudge things a bit for the sake of the real-world book. Voren's a pretty thorough researcher... maybe he found something. I'm not sure the size of the in-universe readership of Voren's books. What makes perfect sense to us real-world, might sound like conspiracy theory in-universe.

While we can't be sure what his in-universe readership is, given the fairly close relationship between Voren and the Heroes of Yavin, we can bet that at least that THEY read it. Given how eager Luke and Leia tend to be for knowledge of their past, if an otherwise reputable researcher whom they've had a good relationship with in the past came up with that scrap, accusations of conspiracy theory or not, they'd probably look into it.

As much as I like to reconcile things, it's probably safest to say it was an out-of-universe fudge that just didn't appear in the in-universe version of the NEC.

I'm under the impression that we're not supposed to take the Chronology's in-universe existence too literally.

Yeah, getting all metaphysical about it just makes your brain hurt. ;) I mean, there are all kinds of things revealed in the Chronolog(ies) that, logically, outside historians would not know.

Is Senator Shayla Paige-Tarkin from HNN and Jedi Trial the same as Lady Tarkin from CSW?
The relationship to Wilhuff Tarkin has not been established. I don't think she was intended to be Lady Tarkin, though.

Was Plek Strom in Jedi Trial related to Cdr Strom from Marvel's Wheel arc?
Hasn't been established. This isn't the last you've heard of the Strom name.

yet Luke and Leia nad most people only learn this 40+ ABY in LOTF?

What is the species, homeworld, and home sector of Sue's Senator character, and can it be put into a future reference?

The only official reference that I know of is in CHRONICLES: THE PREQUELS by Steve Sansweet and Pablo Hidalgo. There it says that Senator Eeusu Estornii is from Ord Zeuol. She worked closely with Padme and attended her funeral. In tears. Well, it doesn't say "in tears" but I do believe she was quite broken up.

Nick Fel:

Think about the ages here. Raymus doesn't look very old to me in Episode III... if he had a son, he'd be a child at that point. Only twenty years pass before Episode IV, so the son wouldn't be old enough to be the guy Vader strangles.

He looks like he's in his late twenties or early thirties to me, which is old enough for a kid of around ten years of age. That'd make the guy killed in Ep. IV also in his late twenties or early thirties, which seems about right.

Besides which, the entire scene where Bail gives the droids to Antilles is clearly meant to link straight to his ownership of them in ANH. You can see from that what George intended.

Link, yes, but I don't think a son inheriting his father's droids is out of the question, especially when the two actors don't look enough alike for a casual viewer to assume they're the same person.

Yes; I was also under the impression that Raymus had a son, "Colton Antilles", who later became "Captain Antilles"

Perhaps Na'al wrote the book in 36 ABY, but was unable to publish it until far later?

how can an in-universe historian, Voren Na'al, write a publicly released history book 36 ABY stating Anakin was conceived by Sith, yet Luke and Leia nad most people only learn this 40+ ABY in LOTF? Did Voren Na'al died and his book never get published?

+Do you have a page number? Page 302 mentions nothing about Raymus having a son named Colton Antilles.

Sorry, Tasty. Shamefully, I don't actually have this book. I'm basing this on the contents someone posted at TFN... . here.

Of course, they may be reading things into the text that isn't there.

This question is for Pablo and/or Leland:

Is Senator Shayla Paige-Tarkin from HNN and Jedi Trial the same as Lady Tarkin from CSW? They are both devout fanatic Palpatine followers.

At first I thought, "No, Lady Tarkin's surname is Motti." But NEGtC doesn't say that, it merely says she is of Motti LINEAGE, so maybe Lady Tarkin's mom is a Motti, her dad a Paige, and her husband...Wilhuff Tarkin.

Raymus Antilles has always been the Captain Antilles that was killed by Vader in the original Star Wars. A long time has it been that way...
