In case anyone is interested, here's my most recent blog about the live chats we have coming up at galacticsenate.com with Abel G. Peña (20 Feb 06) and Karen Traviss (26 Feb 06):
http://blogs.starwars.com/suzanne/5 4
Abel's nicely coincides with the publication of this Story of General Grievous.

The Grievous Endnotes will document all the little continuity nuances that got snuck into the articles.

Hopefully it won't be long before the Insider
supplement is online...
Valentine's Day, according to Bonnie
ooh - only a few days away.
Sadly as I have to import my Insider it'll be weeks before I get to read the primary article. But the supplement and the promise of the "endnotes" in the blog will do for the moment...

Hey O.J.,
I came up with Grievous real name, Qymaen jai Sheelal. You're free to pronounce it any way you like. My personal preference is Ky-Main High She-Lall.
Take care,
Abel

Exactly Back when I started
my sw.com
blog I had been wanting to do some Grievous vs.
Jedi art and this assignment gave me the perfect
excuse. Thanks, Abel
Looking forward to that.
So, what's up with Grievous' real name? Who came up with it? Looks like we'll have to add it to the Pronunciation thread.

Wari:
Abel will there be any refferences to any specific Wars that Qymaen jai takes part in from his early days?
Wars yes; names of battles per se, no.
With out putting you on the spot too much, which do you feel has the most content involving Qymaen? The Insider or the Online Supplement?
Well, there's a reason the supplement is called a supplement. The Insider piece definitely takes the cake in its focus on Grievous: who he is, why he became that way, the circumstances surrounding his transformation into a 'borg, etc. The supplement also has a good chunk on Grievous specifically, especially his war pscyhology, but it throws the spotlight especially on those people and things that he depended on to wage his wars.
N-K Necrosis was a bit of an indulgence in this regard, but it'll make perfect sense why that's in the online supplement when you read it.

I'm going to benefit from both The Insider an the Online Supplement so I feel pretty comfortable posing this question. Yeah, procrastination was actually the theme of my failed pitch to LFL: The Story of Abel G. Peña.

This looks to be awesome and will definitely answer
some questions as well as hopefully add some new
names to Grievous's Jedi death list. I'm also eager
to see Joe's work on the project. Not only because
his drawings have been great in the past but Warren
Fu's Grievous art in Eyes of Revolution in
Visionaries was rather vague and hopefully
we'll see more definitive pictures of Grievous as a
Kaleesh warlord, his "Elites," the Huks (who I'm very
curious about), and Grievous's plethora of wives.;)
There are a couple depictions of pre-cyborg Greivous as the Kaleesh warlord in the article. You'll also find out what the Huks look like (though hardcore fans will immediately recognize them as an alien race previously seen in a Star Wars film) and you'll witness the final moments of a certain Jedi master who's near and dear to my heart
Hope you enjoy the artwork!
