OH MY GOSH!! I think I would've killed him... my goodness... Well I haven't had any that bad.. I did have a few on betrayal that just irritated me... But at least we don't have to worry about that with comics... and the first four pages is a great preview without spoiling anything.. so I like that too.
By the way I am ITCHING to get my hands on #5 John... its just killing me.. and speaking of the preview on the DH.com site... I'd pay double for that comic if it just had the cover and the first four pages... can't WAIT to see what you guys and gals did in the rest of the comic

Worst spoiler I ever had -- before ESB came out, I avoided all mention of it. A week before, I was at a comic mini-con and the comic adaptation had inexplicably already come out. I was standing with the organizer and a ten year old boy asks him, "Mister, do you if the comic book adaptation of ESB is the same as the movie?" Gruffly, the guy sais he had no idea. The kid went on, "Because, in the comic, it says that Luke's father is really. . . " Well, you know the rest. I almost killed the kid. sighhhhh

Since I'm not a die-hard Legacy comics fan, I don't even think the word SPOILER. However, it is annoying when people say, "I got the new novel!" and I'm sitting here thinking, "WHAT!" For me, I try to avoid spoilers, but sometimes the temptation just gets too strong (the dark side :)). I usually avoid the boards until I've finished the book that way no one ruins something that's coming up.

Hahaha... I avoid spoilers like the plague, anyway. Don't even look at the comics previews at DarkHorse.com.

Except for those of us who have about a 2 week delay after the comic comes out before it comes to our hometowns... I have to avoid this thread for a couple weeks after every issue comes out and before it becomes available for me to purchase.

Boy is that ever a great point 2B... I HATE it when people get a book like two weeks early and I have to stop posting on here to avoid being spoiled.. I just hate it... and that doesn't happen with the comics...

One of the things I like about comics is that it's much easier to be spoiler free. Sure, DH puts up a preview, but I've not heard of anyone actually getting the whole issue weeks in advance, as they do the novels.

Yeah Mirax I like the Ganner theory, I don't remember anyone finding the body either . . . I was reading the DH.com Boards a while back and I think I remember John Ostrander saying something like "It's not important who Krayt is, but how he came to be." Maybe like Anakin Skywalker, Krayt could be a creation of the Force, the darkside of the Force. Muhahaha.

I'm glad the Valin comment was a joke!
I did not mean to sound so bitchy , sorry if it came out that way. Every speculation comment that I make, is just that a speculation. A lot of other posters will disagree with my speculations. I'm ok with that, I do not take it personally, unless you agree with me than I am jumping up and down because I just might be right.
Moving on
I like your theory and you have valid points. No matter who Kryat is. He has spent a lot of time in stasis and he is sick, so maybe he is a clone. (being a clone: total speculation)

I think the Valin comment was nothing more than a joke, my reply was anyway
My argument why it isn't any of the characters we currently know is because of the Darth Krayt holocron entry on page 1 of Legacy #1. He was around in the time of the NJO, gaining power from those who had fear and were angry with the Yuuzhan Vong while hiding. Since none of the characters we know were doing that (Jacen, Ben, Ganner, etc.), then it would have to be someone who must have found a Sith holocron and learned from it. That someone probably had anger for the Yuuzhan Vong, was Force sensitive, and the holocron called to him. We'll know for sure if and when his identity is revealed.

People have been speculating who Darth Kryat really is in other threads. So here is my speculation, I think it is Ganner Rhysode. It has been a long time since I read Traitor and I do not remember if a body was found. When he fought his last battle he became incredibly strong in the force and I think he supposedly died from bringing down the ceiling not from a vong death blow. He could have escaped. However if a body was found than I am completely wrong and will be working in the corner finding an argument as to why Darth Kryat is not Valin Horn

I was thinking...what if Darth Krayt was really Kir Kanos? Think about it...do we know what happened to him? Also, that would explain why he's apparently dying...he was a grown man in 30 ABY, and he apparently used Dark Side techniques to extend his lifespan and stay more or less young.

"Ok, the official word from Tasty Taste about the lightwhip...
My question: the whip Maleval uses in #4. Question: Is it officially recognized as a "Lightwhip", or just a special whip that conducts electricity, or something else?
His reply: I don't think we've ever determined a set definition for a lightwhip. Any whip that emits energy might be classified as a lightwhip. I don't believe we've ever had a whip with a "blade" of pure energy. "
IMO, a lightwhip uses the same kind of energy as a lightsaber. At least that's my opinion about it.

*and that it was a good issue.. *
I thought it was solid, and I'm more than positive we'll see more than one of the characters some point down the line. I think everyone was suffering Jan withdrawls, have no fear boys she'll be back soon enough
*and I can't wait for the next one in the big arc.....
"Cade... have you met Master Shado?" .... haha *
I can hear the fan boys giggling from here

Alright, #4 finally arrived in my home town today, and I was able to pick it up.
A lot of people are complaining about Darth Maleval's having the Lieutenant kill his brother... yes, it was a stupid move, but he's not perfect, he's allowed to make mistakes. I think Maleval enjoyed exercising power too much, and wanted to go back to Krayt proud of how he had laid down the law among the troops. Clearly he made some poor decisions, but I can see how they'd be in character.
It'll be interesting to see if Trask shows up in any future comics... or his sargeant, for that matter. Sure, this was written as a one-shot, but it's provided some great backstory for a stormtrooper should the need arise to have one appear in a main story arc.
But as good as this one was, I am looking forward to getting back to Krayt and Cade... and Master Shado, for that matter...
