The GA is enough trouble right now that I sincerely doubt that a big deal will be made about Jaina. If the court martial is made public won't people ask why Jacen was given command in the first place when Jaina held the rank of colonel and out-ranked him in experience alone? (I'm talking about pilot experience not hand to hand combat) Won't the leaders of the GA question Niathal's decision to let Jacen lead the rogue squadron with his lack of experience? Yes I know why he was there to be a poster boy and in this instance he should have been just that a poster boy.
However, Jacen was in command and Jaina did disobey a direct order, she was wrong and will have to pay, probably just a slap on the wrist and a reassignment. (No full blown court martial). This also means the Authors now have a good excuse to split Zekk and Jaina up.

From a military perepective Jaina was in the wrong. She got a direct order from a Colonel. If the GFFA has the same rules of engagement (which I'm certain that they are) then Jacen was right. That transport vessel fired on them so according to the ROE that transport became a military target so in my opinion Jacen was right to fire on it and to court marshall Jaina for disobeying a direct order from a superior. I think it is a dangerous line to be a Jedi and to be part of the GFFA military because sometimes the Jedi and GFFA phils don't interwine with eachother, so the Jedi would have to make a difficult decision and hesitation is very bad on the battlefield. But this isn't a bad thing after all. All this time away from flying we can finally get some character development on Jaina and she can start practicing other techniuqes of the Force.

I don't want Zekk to die either, I think he is a great character. One of my favorite parts is when Jaina disobeys the order to destroy that ship. Jacen finally got what he deserved a little disrespect.

I don't want it either; if Zekk does get killed off, I'll blame the fans who called for his death so Jaina could end up with Jag. Then I'll nicely place blame on the authors and editors for giving into fans' demands

I agree that Allana is just a direction right now, but Jacen won't do it (I think :)). As for the world brain, I haven't read the excerpt for Tempest yet because I'll read it when the book comes up, so I don't really see how their friendship from the NJO chooses, but maybe the excerpt does. I'll see when the book comes out.

And I definatly want to see more Jaina!!!!!!!! I really like the way that she's been written thus far, and I'd like more of her... and Zekk! I like her and Zekk together; I may be in the minority here, but I think that they make a great team. Plus, he's great comic relief (in a story that desperatly needs a comic relief.)

The sacrifiice won't be Allana - that's been established. But no one else is safe. I'd want to say that it's Tenel Ka, but that's way too predictable. We've all seen it coming because of the allusions at the end of Bloodlines, and since these authors like to go for the **WHAT*!* moments, I think that what Travis gave us at the end of Bloodlines is a false lead. It'll more than likely have some guiding role in Tempest (ie: Jacen going to Hapes or something), but I don't think that she'll be the sacrifice - if there's a human sacrifice at all!
Here's an idea that I don't think has been tossed out yet... what if Jacen sacrificed the World Brain? Now, I know that they're friends and that the WB is helping him - but it's a theory nonetheless. I haven't worked out the details of how that could go yet.... any ideas?

I think he might go for them but realize that the whole reason he's doing all that he's been doing is for Allana and Tenel Ka. I have a feeling it might be Luke, but I'm just going to take what comes next. Who knows what Jacen is going to do next; he's even "confused" himself.

I personally think the sacrifice will be Tenel Ka and Allana. Although I don't know how you could even contemplate to kill your own child. Also I really do hope Jaina becomes more involved in this series I miss her military action that she had in the NJO.

I liked the way Karen got into the minds and showed us what they were thinking at that point. Do you guys think the sacrifice will be Tenal and Allana or will it be one of his family members?

I agree completely Cecile... We need some awesome Jaina action...Dark Nest completely detroyed my love for her. Stupid Bugs. She needs to be fighting more space battles. I loved Jaina's military role in The New Jedi Order. Here's hoping Aaron Allston can bring space back into Jaina Solo's life. I miss it! Stupid Bugs. Stupid Zekks!

I was a little disappointed in both books that they have Jaina hardly in them, I hope they include her more in.

The only reason I think Boba is in the books is because of Karen; she loves the Mandalorians, and her commando books were very good.
and Ben has to deside what he's going to do...
That will be an interesting turning point, and I hope Ben makes the right decision! I'll be very disappointed if he decides what the authors might think will be a "great" twist, especially after the ways Ben reacts to two key situations in Bloodlines

I see the beginning focus of this series being the relationship between Jacen and Ben, with Luke and Mara being put in enough to show that they are keeping their eye's on their relationship. Everyone is really going to pick up in the storyline once Jacen is revelled as a Sith Lord and Ben has to deside what he's going to do...
I must say that I was supprised that Boba Fett became a main character. I've never been into him or the clone stories, but after reading about him in this book it has made me interested in Karen's Clone Commando books....my son says they are great.

These authors are dealing with a number of characters, some that they really want to write about and others that are just crucial to the stroy. It's hard, I'm sure, to juggle them all, but I would love to see more of Mara; she did have a few good moments in Betrayal but I was slightly disappointed with her in Bloodlines. Overall, I think the story will start to include more and more on Jacen and Ben, with Luke and Lumiya possibly being the "secondary" characters.

i loved luke with Mara in the njo. in the njo we
loved and cared about mara. she and lue were written
very very well togather, but not since then. so now i
dont care. but i will always cherish them in the Hand
of thrawn series up to TUF
Maybe Mara would be funner to read about if she were given a bigger role in this series. She was barely in Betrayal, and she could have done more in Bloodlines.

Mara isn't technically being blind because Jacen is sad about not being with Tenel Ka and Allana and i think Luke is overreacting just a little because he has no evidenvce but i don't think Jacen will kill both of them i think maybe one (probabaly Allana) will survive or at the very least if she does it will make an interesting story
