yes revan taught the rule of two in that holocron. its in the book. anyway the rule of two for those that are curious"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ru le_of_two

it says that bane made it an institution, but the originals were kun, droma, and reven and malak.

I'm trying to remember from Path of Destruction, but I believe that Revan was actually taught the rule of two from studying texts of masters long before his time. It may be from a different book, but I can't remember. Regardless, almost all Sith have broken this rule. Sidious broke it so many times, it is almost a joke, and the whole premise of the Rule of Two is flawed b/c at some point, either the master tires of the apprentice and looks for a new one, i.e. Dooku/Vader, or when Sidious was still an apprentice and chose to train DarthMaul in Secret before killing his master, providing for three at one time, or the apprentice kills the master before taking up a new apprentice, leaving only one. Sidious did not like the rule of two as he viewed all who followed him as too weak or pathetic (from Dark Lord, TRODV as well as Yoda, Dark Rendevous). In the end he prefers cloning himself to carry on the Sith legacy. Too bad Bane can't crush him from the Dark netherworld.

One thing i don't understand about Reven and Malak starting the rule of two is from reading Darth Nihilious and Darth Sions profiles on Wookieepedia it seems they were in a academy on Korriban. So if Reven was all about the rule of two why was there a Sith Academy bringin out new Sith Master's?????? I've never played the games so i may be wrong.

Remember in The Phantom Menace, when Yoda tells Mace Windu, "Always two there are, a master and an apprentice. No more, no less"? That's the Rule of Two. It was started by Darth Bane after the Battle of Ruusan, which destroyed all the other Sith but him, leaving him to re-start the Sith Order with just him and his newly-taken apprentice.

nope i disagree. reven beleived in the rule of two. there was reven and malak. that was the rule of two in play. revan was the original, and bane brought it back to the norm again. i meanit was bane watching reven's holocron at the end of POD and he heard revan say the rule of two right there.

You are all aware that Drew wrote and helped shape the events ok Knights of the old Republic(the first game) right? He is the best choice for this time period is he not? The game was amazing as was POD. I am really looking forward to see where this goes and hope that the other writers will jump on this time period. Theres a whole new world waiting to be written about with some great charachters and the endless possibilities for new Jedi and Sith to be created.

did Darth Bane start the rule of two or did Darth Revan?

Could Darth Reavn have started the rule of two but since he went back to the jedi him starting the rule did not count?

from what ive seen of drews work, he does a wonderful job, and Path of destruction was one of the best novels ive ever read.

i dont see him doing anything stupid, im hoping this novel will be something that eclipses p.o.d.

*sits with greedy beady little eyes dreaming * j/k.

The most awesome thing is that the storyline is
basically totally open in the time period between
Path of Destruction (1000 BBY) and The Stark
Hyperspace War (44 BBY). Most of what we know in
between consists of people's births and other things
like that. So almost anything could happen!

Yes but there is a massive Jedi reformation sometime after the last sith war when they decide armor isn't necesary anymore, to only take babies for the future jedi among other things which would probably happen before Yoda's birth. I'm really nervous over this, I'm really hoping he doesn't go too crazy with the power he's being given and attempts to keep following the established canon.

There have been two TPBs collecting the first 12 issues of the comic. The monthly series will be releasing it's 21 issue on the 10th according to wookiepedia. FYI This issue is actually the conclusion of the current arc, and the next will start on the 31st according to wookiepedia. If you want more info the wookiepedia page is right here http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Star_Wars:_Knights_of_the_Ol d_Republic_%28comics%29
