Hey Nathan,
Yeah, I saw that. No problems. All is good. It's Friday, after all.

*Nathan, I'd rather you didn't leak this. Thanks, Sue *
Yep, I decided to play it safe. Someone did end up leaking it on the TFN boards and it ended up in the Allies thread anyway, but it wasn't from my end.
Ironically, it's probably the LEAST spoiler-filled DP in ages.

*Sue: On the Allies speculation thread, they've been asking to see the DP for Allies. Is that okay to post from my review copy, or should the DP remain under wraps like the story itself? *
Hey Nathan! Thanks for asking. I see by further reading that someone else already posted it.....

Man we almost need a dedicated thread in honor of Nathan's "blowhole" perhaps a title change to timeline gold's thread :^O I'm glad you got the copy and not me then :P
My delicate ego would have left me secluded for days outcasting myself from the world in my Uber Geek shame. But then I'd hope on skype and get talked out of it by my Star Wars Homies
Even though it's not "news" I guess this all amounts to something dramatic on the STar Wars Boards lol
:^O
May the Force be with us!

Wasn't a 2 metre wide blow-hole what Luke torpedoed? Honestly, I've been kinda getting a chuckle the last few pages, especially since Nathan's been so good-natured about it. BUT, it does set a bad precedent, so I'll move along like everyone else...

Allow me to dogpile on the hapless Mr. leesweinberg:
I personally have banned posters for less. Authors are an integral part of our community (not just an extension) and are absolutely due the same respect as any other poster.
And sarcasm about it gets you less than zero points. We'll be watching.

*I'm sorry -- no offense meant. I feel like my post was taken the wrong way. Where I come from, "blowhole" is a term of respect for someone who is knowledgeable and expounds upon their knowledge.
*
blowhole
No offence intended huh? Perhaps people like you should learn to appreciate that knowledgable people like Nathan Butler are extremely well respected around these parts.
Besides, if Nathan Butler decides to expel air form a hole, who are we to argue???

I don't know where you're from, but where everybody else is from,* "Enough, already you blowhole."* doesn't sound respectful at all. If you were trying to be respectful, you certainly would not tell somebody to stop sharing their knowledge.
Nice try.
*We get it, you have an advance copy. Enough, already you blowhole. *
Sounds every bit like someone resentful at the fact that someone else has something they don't.

"Blowhole? You don't even know me. Usually it takes
people days to figure out I'm a blowhole."

You beat me to it, JTS.
*leesweinberg * - Nathan having an advanced copy of Allies is no different than movie critics seeing movies before they are released to the rest of us. It's a fact of life. We do NOT allow flaming of other posters here. Please keep your negative comments to yourself.

Exactly. To paraphrase Daniel Chaffee from one of my favorite films, "A Few Good Men" . . .
"Blowhole? You don't even know me. Usually it takes people days to figure out I'm a blowhole."

Wow, I've never seen anyone here call anyone a blowhole. I remember getting a little cussed out(I think by JTS) for a simple disagreement with someone a while back. Brass ones buddy, and totally uncalled for.

Nathan, you are very much appreciated by this community and personally I hope you will continue to give us the little inside scoops and info that your allowed to. Please don't let one person punish us all.
I wonder, how does a noob with 3 posts know anything about Nathan to be able to determine such an insult?
