I may have missed it, but are we going to see an IC2 book or not? I could care less about a Sith Lord, the Commando books were well done and they were something I looked forward to.

Plaguious's book while sound interesting has been up and down on being written or not, for it is a mute point. I would much rather see the IC2 book done instead.

It would've been nice if the information that all autorenewals would be turned off in May 2010 had been emailed to members, rather than on a FAQ no one would visit until they had their subscriptions ending.

Yeah the blogs are there we just can't do anything with them. And I don't even know where to begin to get access now.

Sue, With Hyperspace ending, any chance you guys will release any more short story anthologies collecting these short stories?
Thanks.

Speaking of Hyperspace ending:

I just realized that my membership apparently ended around June, but I never noticed because I'm "purple" instead of Hyperspace "red." Apparently, it didn't auto-renew.

Does anyone happen to know when Hyperspace officially ends? I'm needing to summarize some of the fiction for the SWT-G still, but I don't want to spent $15 to sign up again, only to have the service end before the subscription would.

It's a short century when you're dealing with Jedi. For instance, as of the Legacy comics, there were only 3 generations of imperial knights founded by Jagged Fel.

CCody243--

I like the story of Legacy very much. However, until it is novelized, it is nothing more than a cool outline with pretty pictures.

And I hate that the rest of the EU post 40ABY feels obligated to start skewing towards some of the things that occur in that series which don't take place until a full century later.

Nathan,

You put it quite succinctly.
Thank you.

=o)

An example -- Darth Bane never really came alive to me until the novel trilogy. Yes, I'm glad all the background information exists, but it doesn't exist for me until I read it in an adult novel.

However, the future developments that were handled there were in books by Traviss. I am kinda glad that she quit when there was only one book on her plate. It would have really stunk to have had to find a new author 2/3rds of the way through LotF

A goodly number of people are passionate about the series and want the last book. I get it. I feel badly that you're all disappointed.

You all wait years for books you want and I'm seriously grateful for that (as we all are) and IC#2 isn't going to happen. If we can work out a way to get the story told at a different time, we will.

I understand that from an author perspective you guys were kind of stuck if it was Traviss's idea to step away from IC#2. But there's a certain level of trust invested by the reader in these things. After the original story was allowed to continue on from the first book it's almost like a promise that the 'end' to that particular tale would be told.

It's too bad about the timing...if this had happened during LotF it all could have been handled there. (as some RC future developments were handled anyway)

any chance of Matt Stover writing the last, great adventure of Luke, Han, and Leia anytime

That might be nice, but no, the last adventure isn't happening in this contract period.

That's a disappointment. I was actually hoping for a major character death in Fate of the Jedi. To be honest I hope that last adventure happens soon. The big three are getting old and the next generation really need to take over.

I do get it from a sales standpoint. After the Big three are gone I'm sure sales will go down somewhat.

On this topic though I have a question Sue, how close do you work with Dark Horse on story lines and continuity? The Big Three are getting older and the years are getting closer and closer to the Legacy era. When you are planning novels to the events of say legacy influence what you can do or what you choose to do?

When they first cancelled the novel their reasoning was that it wasn't the right time. So right from the start I don't think it was cancelled indefinitely. They were just waiting for the right time which apparently is now.

I'm just wondering why this(Plagues) was revived after being canned? I'm all for it, but what's so different now.

April (Mystery Paperback) to November (Coruscant Nights) is a big leap - is there still a novel or two left unassigned for the summer?

I'm guessing the mystery novel will be Luke and Leia finding out more about Padme kind of like Tatooine Ghost.

Good news about Plagueis/Luceno - at this point, IC2 can wait until this is released or finalized, as far as I'm concerned.

I just pray to the gods that this isn't canceled again. That would be... disturbing. /Vader
