April (Mystery Paperback) to November (Coruscant Nights) is a big leap - is there still a novel or two left unassigned for the summer?

I'm guessing the mystery novel will be Luke and Leia finding out more about Padme kind of like Tatooine Ghost.

Good news about Plagueis/Luceno - at this point, IC2 can wait until this is released or finalized, as far as I'm concerned.
I just pray to the gods that this isn't canceled again. That would be... disturbing. /Vader

I'm hoping for a Dark Empire novelization.....
As far as I'm concerned, the resurrection of Palpatine never happened. In fact, nothing in SW happens unless it happens in a novel. Why? Because in a novel it is something far more than well-constructed eye candy.
Exception -- the original trilogy.
Reverse exception -- The Crystal Star

And yet the whole plot of Dark Empire is a touch stone of the later EU. Hate it or not, we have to accept that. See I want to see Dark Empire in Novel form just to elaborate on Palpatine's clonning!

In other words, let's forget all about pretty much every Star Wars EU story from 5,000 BBY through 3,650 (or so) BBY (oh, and leave out all of the background material for the SWTOR game and its novels, which is in the comics), then leave out everything from about 980 BBY through about 45 BBY or so, minus any brief segments in Legacy/Secrets of the Jedi. Then, once we reach the end of Fate of the Jedi, we'll leave out everything after that entirely.
Let's also not forget to include most of what comes between ANH and ESB, plus a significant portion of the Shadows of the Empire storyline . . .
Sounds to me like that's narrowed one down into a rather small time frame in the scheme of Star Wars publishing.
Or, wait, do other books count? You said "novel." If we can't count books like the Jedi Apprentice series, we'll have to narrow it down a bit more in there. Do guidebooks count? If so, you just brought everything you tossed away in comic form back into it with things like the New Essential Chronology . . .

See that used to be my perspective as well. The comics weren't canon, the stories weren't as good the action was exaggerated. And sure maybe some of the action in the older ones were a little exaggerated But have you actually read the comics? Once I started reading them I realized that the comics are awesome stories that fit perfectly in the Star Wars Universe. Have you read Legacy? That is by far my favorite series to date. And I've started Invasion. So far I'm liking it a lot too. Novels and Comics both have their pros and cons but I won't just excluded the comics.
On your point about Palpatine Resurrection, That little fact is mentioned in a fair number of novels so although it didn't happen in it was referenced.

any chance of Matt Stover writing the last, great adventure of Luke, Han, and Leia anytime
That might be nice, but no, the last adventure isn't happening in this contract period.

A paperback.
With an as-yet unannounceable author.
That is taking IC2's slot in the contract, but not it's release date.
And is something fans have been wanting for years (which is something other than the Plagueis novel.)
Yes. And I have April 24, 2012 as the pub date so you'll be able to recognize it when the automuunatically generated catalog leak page appears.

So, just to make sure I have things straight, the IC2 replacement is:
A paperback.
With an as-yet unannounceable author.
That is taking IC2's slot in the contract, but not it's release date.
And is something fans have been wanting for years (which is something other than the Plagueis novel.)
Is that about it?

Sue: First of all, the Plagueis novel! Awesome!
Secondly, just wondering: any chance of Matt Stover writing the last, great adventure of Luke, Han, and Leia anytime? I've been waiting since....well, 2008, when I finished Luke Skywalker and the Shadows of Mindor .

with this contract complete, will we be seeing any more The Clone Wars books
Not novels for adults, no. There will still be readers for the little Muuns.

Hello Sue,
Quick question about any future The Clone Wars books:
At the end of 2008, it was revealed that LFL and Del Rey had a five-book contract of novels related to The Clone Wars, originally 3 by Karen Traviss and 2 by Karen Miller. This was later changed to be 2 by KT and 3 by KM. These books eventually became The Clone Wars novelization, Wild Space, No Prisoners, Gambit: Stealth, and Gambit: Siege. The final one was released earlier this month.
My question is: with this contract complete, will we be seeing any more The Clone Wars books? The series is starting its third season soon, and I figure more novels would be cool.
Thank you!
"Support Hutt-on-Hutt Love."

Sue, any chance that we'll see another book by Steve Barnes? Also, is Matt Stover going to write another b ook? I hope that the replacement novel is by Matt Stover, because I finally started reading LSatSoM.
